Finally I begin my viewing for the fall season animes. I realised that there are quite some titles that I would need to catch up but by random, I start with this anime title. For sure, having watched Shakugan no Shana (Season 1), I definitely watch the follow-up season, Shakugan no Shana II. I hope the second one won’t suck as bad as its movie adaptation.

A girl with a large pair of boobs and awkwardly pink hair. Not surprising she is a catch for many men around her. Then there is a guy, somehow adorable for most ladies especially those in is class. Now pair them up together, we get an all-too common harem type of anime. Nothing too odd, except that the pink-headed girl has the ability to attract guys around her. Otherwise known as a succubus. And she does this unintentionally. This guy here apparently is assigned to protect her and at the same time, allow her to practice how to control her seducing powers. Brace yourself for non-stop ecchi scenes that will definitely satisfy testosterone-raving male viewers. Nothing hentai, really. But hey, Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun is funny to watch, all in those too common fashion.

Heed this warning. Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun has a rather misleading start. We have a guy named Ninomiya Shungo beating up a giant polar bear in, where else to find a polar bear, the North Pole together with his obviously stronger sister whose name I am not too sure of. The next thing you know is Ninomiya is back to Japan in his high school. A double life? Not bad for a scheming plot. Then all of the sudden, girls surrounded him as though he was about to get gangbanged by them but he was able to escape. Again in sudden manner, objects began to fly all over to hit him though he was able to elude every single one of them. Not quite there; he missed traphole. Somehow these things are common for him at his school. I was confused rather than shocked. The surprises did not end there. A military helicopter (looks like the US Marine’s Chinook) flew over the school, delivering an unexpected cargo – a busty, pink-headed girl. Okay, I’ll skip the story-telling from here on. The girl, Tsukimura Mayu was sent by his brother, Tsukimura Mikihiko with the order from Ninomiya’s sister to take care of Mayu. Mayu here, as I mentioned earlier, a succubus who has the power to seduce men. The same goes for Mikihiko who attracts the ladies. But there’s a catch. Any men who touches Mayu will be knocked out of consciousness. However Ninomiya is the lucky bastard, unknowingly to be immune to her powers. Even so, there is a risk that if Ninomiya should attempt to kiss her, he will die for that kiss. Ouch! Poison ivy.

Do not be deceived by this opening scene.

Mayu sweats excessive pheromones. Guys are all over her.

Now we know that Ninomiya’s sister asked him to take care of Mayu but the real motive is to train her properly to accustom herself around men. So she together with Mikihiko (I suppose he is loving brother) will watch over them both through the course of the so-called training. I’m saying that we’ll be seeing these two for episodes to come. Since we are at this part the story, it won’t be complete without another rival for Mayu who has a secret crush for Ninomiya. I get it, the plot is typical. So yeah, we will get an envious girl who attempts to push the two apart whilst having him all for herself. This girl named Houjo Reika is apparently from a wealthy family, eventually became a maid in Ninomiya’s residence after losing to Mayu in a certain competition (Mayu wins hands down with her body, literally). On the bright side, Reika gets to be close with Ninomiya while being her maid. Expect more clashes between the girls in the future. I am not sure if Reika is the similar case with Mayu, happen to have a special power as well but I wouldn’t be surprised if she is the purported incubus (not the band Incubus, people) in this story.

You’ll be seeing this a lot.

I won’t be expecting much from this story nor do I have the leisure to blog about it. One word fits well to this anime – fanservice. If you want a relatively stress-free anime with none-to-weak plots while enjoying yourself watching girls with extremely short skirts and enlarged boob (I insist on the word “enlarged”), Goshusho-sama Ninomiya-kun right down your alley. It is dead wrong if you considering this anime would make up for a decent story. Nonetheless I don’t dislike the anime, it’s just that it is not something you would be expecting as unique. Final verdict? Watch if you may. Nothing illegal in watching busty girls in anime, isn’t it?
