Now that Takuma had regained his sight, he got up early that morning and went to see Hayami to ask her to join him with the girls on his first tour around the village. She however turned down his invitation. He then later joined the girls - Hinata, Hamaji and Maki.

“Hey! I’m not blind after all.”
As they begin their little tour around the paddy field, they met with Yui who is working on the field with two of her henchmen. She began to show off the whole paddy field behind her that belongs to her family. However she was immediately belittled by the much larger field of the Kagura’s. While Yui have her own problems at hand, they left her and continued on touring. That is when they come upon a suspension and Takuma was warned by the girls not to cross that bridge, believing that an evil monster lives on the side of the bridge. Takuma doesn’t seem to believe it but Hinata on the other hand, had a troubled look on her face. Having finished touring around the village, they went to a shop where they were served with drinks by Hamaji who is dressed in a maid costume. She works there, that’s why. Takuma noticed that Hinata had been quiet since they visited the bridge and asked her what her problem is. When she was asked what is really over the other side of the bridge, she gave the same answer that a monster lives there. Unfazed, he refused to believe on such legend. Yet Hinata doesn’t seem wanting to talk about it. Later in the late afternoon, out of curiosity, Takuma decided to venture out to the other side of the suspension bridge alone. There he saw two old unused cable cars and is well aware that someone is living there when he saw a girl’s school uniform inside. He explored further and reached a waterfall. Over there, he noticed someone was bathing nearby and that person is none other than Hayami. That night, Takuma finds himself in a rather delicate situation. He is now being tied up on a tree upside down while Hayami is sharpening her knife. He should know it darn well that peeping toms are gravely prosecuted. But obviously that is not Hayami’s intention when she slashed the knife towards him to cut the rope that binds him to the tree. Showing her cups of instant ramen, he brought them to her as his gratitude for the other day.

“This is the paddy field and please ignore that girl on the left.”

Even the suburbs of Japan can’t escape the maid obsession.

This is H2O and Hayami will rock your soul!
After that little dinner with her, she told him to go back immediately, warning him that involving into her matters further will bring him more trouble. However he did not think of that as a problem, telling her that he wanted to be friends with her. His words remind her of her younger years when Hinata who once offered her candy as she cried inside a church. She said that she doesn’t need friends but he refuted that her actions will bring her more pain. She firmly said to him that it is necessary for her to be hated and if you ask me, this doesn’t fully explain why she is hated by the whole community around her. After Takuma got back from Hayami’s place, he met Hinata who is waiting for him across the bridge. Instead Hinata approached him for the reason to tell him not to get close with Hayami ever again. The next morning, Hinata went to Takuma’s place to accompany him to school but he was not there as he left the house early that morning. It turned out that Takuma went to Hayami’s place to greet her that morning with a breakfast and eventually went to school with her. In class, the teacher gave them a project to make a pinwheel. Hinata was about to ask Takuma to share their stuff but he was ahead of her by asking Hayami who doesn’t have the tools and materials, to share with him. Hinata was insistent and went on to ask him to share the workload with her. He accepts it but he still wants Hayami to join them. Yui suddenly interrupted and asked Takuma why he plans to bring Hinata together with Hayami who she refers as a cockroach. Hayami responded by saying that she is not involved in anything Takuma had planned for. Leaving the class, she called out to Yui to have a brothel with her. So they left the class together with Yui’s henchmen and with the teacher still inside the class. Talk about drama in the classroom. Takuma who is worried for Hayami wanted to go after her but was stopped by Hinata. He pushed her aside and went on.

Perverts will be executed to death.

Hey! What happened to the murderous intent? Where’s the head-in-a-bag parody?

You can share the tools but you can’t share a guy.
Outside Hayami took a beating from Yui and her lackeys and one of them was prompted to splash nasty toilet water on her. Takuma immediately rushed to Hayami and asked Yui to stop bullying her. No, this is not bully. This is criminal discrimination. Yet Takuma still defended Hayami. A flashback revealed that Hinata who gave candy to her earlier turned to disown her the next day following a certain fire incident. Despite of being covered with dirt and stinks of toilet water, Takuma hugged Hayami to console her. Hayami told Takuma not to protect her but he said to her that it is something that he is capable to do as he was helpless before this. Because of his action, Yui began to call Takuma as the cockroach’s friend and is a cockroach himself. Yui’s henchmen was about to give their beating on Takuma when Hinata came in time to stop them. She insisted that Takuma is not a cockroach and is different than Hayami. She convinced Yui that she will save Takuma from Hayami. Later that night, Hayami blamed Takuma for acting stupidly by protecting her earlier as she had already warned him to get involved into her personal issues. Instead he reached out his hand to her and she received it. So the two began working on their school project and the two bonded in that moment. Finally their pinwheel is completed. They went out to test out the pinwheel but unfortunately there was no wind then. She said (I guess it was her melancholy) the wind had already blown and a new wind will come to sweep away everything on the ground. Soon enough, the wind starts blowing and the pinwheel spins.

Bullying in school is rampaging.

Takuma will be the hero to save Hayami.

Hayami used to have a common past with Hinata.

But it didn’t last.

Now she hopes to get it back with Takuma.
Overall the show is going downhill. The animation and drawing are already not impressive since the first episode but the second one is give much lesser of an impression. Some more, the event in the first episode eclipsed the entire story (when Takuma regained his vision back), leaving this episode the lackluster. However I am impressed with the script writing which above average (I can’t say it’s fantastic yet I don’t have the expertise to judge from this aspect). Hayami’s script on the last scene has great metaphor of her hope in friendship where she talks about the wind which refers to her hope. Even so, I’m slowly losing my interest to follow the story and what more blogging on it. Furthermore I’m compelled to bring Gundam 00 back to my review though I would be picking up the story in the middle by doing so. Maybe I will give H2O another episode to judge before I proceed on my final verdict. As for Gundam 00, you’ll just have to wait and see.
