Ephemeral means temporary or for one day. It begins with the same old dream Celty has everyday symbolizing the same old crap she has to deal with everyday without any clue about the whereabouts of her head. (Spoiler ridden btw.) And ends with a glimmer of hope of the ephemeral dream.
Celty has dreams too! What does she dream about? Her head, duh? What is her life long goal? Her meaning in life. Use your head if you have one. She decides to cook for Shinra to “give appreciation for all he has done for her” and loves him.
Celty loves Shinra. They make a good couple but what would there child look like?
Celty makes a dish with Shinra like the wonderful headless waifu she is. She get’s paranoid and makes Shinra stop eating the food. I am wondering if Shinra hated it or liked it too. I think he liked it though. She runs off… crying. Shinra gets depressed and goes off to Namie, psycho-whore, Pharmaceutical Company. He treats this suicide bomber armed with fireworks. Oh so dangerous! The Company guards ass rape him and then have Shinra treat him to make sure he is ready to be a lab rat. Shinra is pretty cold but does it any way.

Shinra is an asshole like before but at least he isn’t always smiley. It makes me feel better knowing that Shinra is like Kida. Oh yeah. Celty’s head is on Mika Harima’s body or something. Indisputable. End of Discussion. Period.

The way that Shinra looks during those scenes really makes you wonder if this is a job that he enjoys doing, or if he is forced to do it for some other reason. He does have a fascination with how people tick, but it seems to be reserved for extraordinary people, not a normal person like the bomber. He keeps insisting that Celty doesn’t need her head, but when his cohort is talking about it, he doesn’t look very happy about it, like he feels guilt for having to keep secrets from Celty. Maybe Celty’s freedom is even contingent on his performance at work and never telling the fairy what he knows?
I think Shinra really has know idea and really enjoys his job. However, dealing with Namie and her group of sickos would make anyone sick.
Mmm starting to lose interest in the series.. I should go watch LOST.
frick. oh well.
how are you losing interest? It is well played out in my opinion. It has a psycho serial killer, a reaper, and a mind rapist. what’s not to like?
I didn’t notice it before, but the firecracker terrorist in this photo http://brianandrew.files.wordpress.com/2010/03/for-allah.jpg looks a lot like Ayato from RahXephon. Could Celty be right? Is there a Mulian connection?
