Yeah, this page has been under construction for far too long, time to get some content on this page.

Ah hello there and Welcome to the about page. You can read about the history of Bokutachi no Blog on that little subpage thing up there. There will also be a ‘Welcome to your writers’ subpage too but since this page is still under construction, it may take a little while before we all get out little bits and bobs in. Plus I haven’t decided on a format for how each person introduces themselves or anything. So for now, you just get to listen to me blab away. Isn’t that fun? No, not really is it.

Name: Scamp

jungle gunnWhy Scamp?: I could pretend it’s because of something manly but no. It’s the name of my teddy I’ve had since I was 1. He’s a white fluffy dog. Well, he was fluffy. Most of his hair’s fallen out by now.

Brief Bio: I’m an Irish bloke currently living in England. I’m doing a lovely course in New Media (I even used this blog as a reference to how awesome I was at internet related stuff. Needless to say they instantly accepted me). I’m also a big Arsenal fan as well as soccer in general so you might see the occasional bit of premiership references drop into my posts.

Anime preferences:Well, lets start off with what I don’t like: Yaoi, long running shounens, an anime where it only involves a bunch of girls being insufferably nice to each other (this includes yuri), female wish fulfillment and really stupid fanservice anime. I’ll generally watch anything else although I do have a soft spot for mind games and mecha. And Clamp. Hey, guess what anime I like based off those three…

Blogging style:I do episodic posts mostly but I try to keep the number of series I blog down to about 2. Along with constant monthly roundups and first impressions, I do like to toss in an occasional editorial. Since I’m not great at looking at the philosophical side of anime or serious commentary on anime fandom, I usually try to keep them funny. Not that there won’t be a serious point at the heart of the post but mainly it will just make you giggle (that’s one thing I’m confident about, I can make people laugh). But most of all I love to try build hype for new series. For this reason you will not only see an upcoming anime page at the top of the screen but also incredibly detailed and rather early season previews (which take forever to make BTW).

Other sites: My MAL account if you so wish. I do update it quite frequently so add me if you do like to read the blog (but make sure if you send a friend request that you say you read the blog). I also have a twitter which I only ever use for blabbing about anime related matters so you won’t have to hear random bits of info about my personal life. You may have to listen to the occasional bit of Arsenal tweeting though.

In case any of you were wondering, the pictures is the one that appears whenever I comment. It’s Hare from Jungle Wa Itsumo Hare Nochi Guu, a brilliant anime that doesn’t get the attention it bloody well deserves.

Name: Blindability

yui

Why Blindability: …That’s a good question. I might credit it to the notion that I’m whimsical at times, ‘blindly’ acting without much thought. And in compilation with whatever ability I possess (ie writing) it would be ‘blindability’. Or I could just say “because I said so”, which works nicely as well.

Brief Bio: Canadian born and raised Chinese girl. I love all things fantastical in nearly every form minus poetry; I hate poetry (mostly because I don’t understand it). If I’m not watching anime then I’m most likely writing, reading, baking or sleeping. Oh: or working but it’s not like I have a choice in that matter.

Anime Preferences: I’m actually incredibly flexible. I’ll give anything a shot at least once. The first series I watched was the Ah! My Goddess OVA which consisted of five episodes. My older brother watched Cowboy Bebop but didn’t feel like sharing with his little sister. I like romance, I like comedy, I like cute girls and beautiful boys. I’m always up for a good fight and great animation. I particularly like anime with ideas and societal structures that challenge reality and get your imagination going. But I’ve also been known to follow series with plots that barely hold themselves together.

Blogging Style: I try to do episodic posts but if the series is moving at an incredibly slow pace I’ll review two or more episodes in a single post. I’m not particularly funny… which I can’t really do anything about unfortunately. I promised Brian I’d do my best in adding humor to my posts but let’s face it, I’m not laugh-out-loud funny. Quirky, maybe… Oh: and I have a thing for good grammar, punctuation, and aesthetic formatting.

My current ID photo is Yui from K-ON!. She’s one of those characters who are cute but incredibly useless. I’m not sure how that reflects on me personally, but I think I might be okay with being useless to an incredible degree as long as I’m cute.

Name: Loba

deathnote

I AM LOBA LOL.

A little bit on the display pic: it’s L from death note, was particularly captivated by the subtle actions of L whenever he ate something and this really got my attention so it was chosen.

The origins of Loba: I was just a 7-8 old year accompanying my parents on a shopping trip  when I saw this Levi advertisement playing on the TV inside the Levi store. The song that was played is ‘Bombastic‘ the second single released by Shaggy from his album Bombastic. The song apparently stuck in my subconscious till I was 12 when upon launching MSN for the first time, I recalled that particular advertisement and mis-spelled Mr Lomba as Loba(ba) for my nick. From that day on,my friends just called me Lobaba. The nick eventually evolved over the years: Lobaba(1999-2003), Loba(2004~Present). Also known as LObama(2008~Present). (Fun fact: Loba in one chinese dialect literally means Lean meat, which could be said much about my lean (and mean) frame heh)

Brief Bio: I’m a chinese guy from Singapore and no, it’s not part of China, yes my grandparents hail from there but chinese Singaporeans are totally different from the Chinese in China  just as most overseas chinese are. Currently attending National University of Singapore studying environmental engineering, also webmaster of NUS Comic and Animation Society. I’m a tech junkie as well, am the proud owner of the 3rd PC which I personally built. The first PC I built literally melted down(CPU fan stopped spinning and the AMD Duron CPU overheated to 100 degrees woohoo) and the second PC was sold to fund the current PC built back in early 2007, cycled through many portable electronics: ipod touch, psp slim, cowon A3, S9, searching for the ultimate all in one device and settled on omnia i8910HD recently.

Anime Preferences: Similarly to Scamp, Yaoi, Yuri and fanservice moe anime are not my cup of tea but that’s where the similarity ends: When I was a kid, I managed to watch four anime series on TV: Jubei Chan, Samurai X and Gundam Wing. Occasionally, Dragonball Z movies are broadcasted as well. These pretty much define the bulk of my anime taste: mecha, sci-fi and shounen. Of course, I would give everything a shot if the potential is there for a great story, otherwise, stuff like nodame cantabile and Honey & Clover would never have made it to my watchlist.

Blogging Style: I had been doing episodic reviews in the past but that didn’t exactly work out since i) laziness took over ii) it is really time consuming to get good screencaps during normal school days. iii)I stopped watching halfway due to wane of interest. Currently musing over whether I should try episodic reviewing with more pictures less words since I tend to ramble on and on and on OR an ending Final Impressions kinda post but with minimal pictures and a nice summary. One last idea I have could be fun but extensively tiring for sure so you could say I’m freestyle at the moment.

 NAME: Kaza

Air gear- ikki kaza

Why Kaza?: *sigh* I was born with the last name of Cazarine. Yes, indeed it is Italian, BUT I have only my great grandfather who is Italian. So then I came up with Caza, but I liked how Kaza just looked SOOoo much better. Am I right? It has a nice ring to it too.

Brief Bio: *constant panting* I’m a Brazilian/American boy, living in the US. I’m a part-timer at a mini-barn factory, but I’m also doing my sophomore year in high school. Traveling and exploring new places are my favorite activity. My life has always been unstable when it comes to staying in one place, but what has stayed with me forever is my motto: “Simplicity is the next step humanity must take to obtain happiness” And I guess that also goes with the saying, “simple pleasures”.

Anime Preferences: *starts breathing harder* I have to admit that I have a liking to echhi/action anime, although to some level it may be looked down upon. Now a days I’m falling for anything that has a well developed story-line and good quality. So, I’m sorry people, I just can’t stand those old anime series and stuff like DBZ and Bleach. And I love watching romance movies like “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”. But not just romance though, Ride Back was awesome too. (notice how the quality of these is spot-on)

Blogging Style: Well, to tell you all the truth, I’ve been around computers since my dawn of time but I have never done anything like blogging. So if I may say, because I am still learning, the only thing you can expect from me now are episodic reviews (for two at the most) and the occasional OMG reviews like the one I did on Bakemonogatari. (truly, that was just frikken amazing) The way I write comes directly from my personality, so I’m not playing someones role here, and with that comes my spontaneous words (which I think can sometimes be funny). If there ever were a name for the style I blog in, it would be called “Kazaform”.  BTW, I’m very open for any tips any bloggers/writers out there have to offer.

Other Sites: Well, I have facebook and twitter, but no other sites really. I might make one in the far future, but I’m hoping I can grow on this one.

You may have noticed that I changed my ID photo from a couple weeks back, but I think now it will stay, XD. Well, it’s actually Itsuki Minami, or Ikki for short, from the first anime that I ever watched, Air Gear. Absolutely loved his personality, (and his cute girlfriend too, lol) and just like any other teenage boy, he rocks at eating! XD

Hi, nice blog =) was just reading through about darker than black which I am watching. Might like to take a note at episode 3 where Hei left the cigarettes on top of the rubbish bin. That might be his remuneration. OR it could just contain instructions for his next mission which I doubt so since he always meet up with Huang for instructions. The part about Hei eating to clear his remuneration is not true as Havoc mentioned that he used to eat a lot even before he became a contractor, right?

    Cheers.

It seems that you are very peculiar with the details, which is good. Even I missed that one out – when Havoc said that Hei used to eat a lot before. I’ve through the episodes mentioned. In episode 3, the cigarette was given to Hei and with that includes a wristwatch. However Hei only took the watch and threw away the cigarette. Likely he is not receiving information there but to get the watch instead, though I don’t know what’s the watch is for. Now from what Havoc, that might be suggestive that eating is not Hei’s remuneration. To be frank, Hei loves to eat a lot whether he uses his powers or not. But buying a pack of cigarette and threw it away doesn’t seem a remuneration for Hei since it was only been done once. Since then, he never did that again. Not unless the writers plan to keep Hei’s remuneration a mystery. For now, the best bet for Hei’s remuneration is to eat a lot.

Hope you’re satisfied with my answer.

Hi again, since Havoc mentioned Hei used to eat a lot, I reaffirm my stand that being a glutton is not hei’s remuneration ;) But true, it was only shown once, the part about the cigaratee pack, so yea, it most likely isn’t his remuneration..’

If you observe carefully in the 3rd episode, the watch was meant to be a listening device in that researcher’s room because when hei went there, he knocked some stuff of f the table and in that split second*bam*, he left the watch on the table =D

Hai, can’t get enough of Darker than black!!! Continue the gd work with the blog! =)

Hey, Loba here. Just wondering how you added “Home” “About me” and “downloads” to the pagebar. Did you use custom CSS?

Just add page. It’s on the WRITE menu. Got WRITE PAGE in it. Once you’ve done a page, then a page will be added automatically on the menu bar of the main page. No custom CSS but if you do opt for custom CSS, I think you need to upgrade to a paid account, which is obviously not an option in my mind.

p/s: How come I can’t access your page yet? Under construction?

Came across your site while investigating typhoid cases in my distrct (Manjung Perak). All 3 cases had epidemiological link i.e history of visiting Kelantan on Nov 24th & had fever 2 weeks later a/w passing loose stools. ALL are pediatric age gp. Youngest being 1 yr 4/12 ang eldest 14 yr old boy. Any recent OB of typhoid in Kelantan? Add given to me is in Jln Hospital. Any idea whether there is any OB there or not?

I’m not sure about the point of origin for the outbreak but this typhoid case is already a thing in the past. When there was a breakout last year, the state health department cried panic and all of the eateries in Kelantan were required to make a major cleanup and also requested to close for a few days – bringing up the case in this post I made. If you are doing investigation for the case study of typhoid in Kelantan and its connection with the case in your place, I reckon you to check on the local authorities here in Kelantan or better still the state health department or the local hospitals. I’m sure they can help you in that matter.

Sorry that I can’t be more of a help. I’m just a visiting student here anyway. Moreover epidemiology is not my major so I may lack knowledge in this matter.

  23. 23 Loba
    21 September 2008 at 12:49 am

Hm, train wreck. It’s a good drama for sure, that’s what code geass is. You want character drama, you should go watch macross frontier.

  24. 21 September 2008 at 1:26 pm

Agree! Code Trainwreck. But Code Geass season 1 is waaaaaaaaaay better than R2. I won’t really go for Macross Frontier if I want character drama. Macross series are always good for their dogfights. If you want a really good anime, I reckon watching Honey & Clover, Denno Coil (great character devt, great plot build-up, good directing perspective), Cowboy Bebop (the best, by far though be mindful of several filler episodes) and yes, Code Geass. But not R2. But then again, you need R2 to finish the whole lot anyway.
