OMG! I am very late with my episodic review of Code Geass R2. So I’ll make a quick review of episode 15. And yes, I can partially blame this on the lousy internet connection in my apartment.
Lelouch confronts his father at the Sword of Akasha and using a sneaky trick, he uses his Geass on his father and commanded him to kill himself. To Lelouch’s content, his father draws out a gun and shoot himself. More after the jump.
As much as I wanted to show you episode 5 of Gurren Lagann Parallel Works, there was no streaming available for it. Apparently the nudity content is a tad too much for public video hosting sites. If you were lucky, you could manage to watch it on Gurren Lagann Parallel Works official site. If you haven’t, then I’m sorry to say that you have missed your chance already.
Now, this week of episode 6 offers something very similar to Gurren Lagann but a quick glance through all the characters would leave you in doubt on who’s who. Simon is more distinguishable but Kamina has little resemblance of Mugen from Samurai Champloo and his fighting style is definitely the same as the referred. With its rock-ish music of “To Hell with Gettai”, the action and the comeback of Gurren Lagann makes this one yet another favourite of mine. Hit play for zero-nudity spin-off of Parallel Works.
The year was a.t.b. 1997 when Marianne was still alive with C.C. by her side. V.V. and Charles were also there looking at them both. They reminded each other of their promise to slay the gods and rid of the world from all the lies. To the present day, Lelouch grieved momentarily over Shirley’s passing before came to him and told him that he killed Shirley over the suspicion that she would kill Lelouch for knowing his true identity. More after the jump.
Finally, I have settled into my new apartment in which I’ll be staying for another two years. With that and my persisting procrastination, I bring you a very late review of episode 13. Heck, I did not even managed to whore about the new OP and ED.
The girls are hogging on Shirley about her upcoming date with Lelouch when Villetta shows up. Strangely, she begins to talk about how Shirley loves Lelouch so much that she was willing to kill her - then, to remove a white mask and reveal her true former self. She runs away in fear whilst meeting all the students in the school, all wearing masks. And includes Lelouch who turned out to be Zero. Waking up, Shirley realized that it was Lelouch who killed her father. More after the jump.
Sorry for the absence for the last few days. Until now, I am still adapting to the new environment in my newly rented apartment nearby my campus. Also affected are my anime reviews. Hopefully things will get back running normally after this weekend *fingers crossed*.
It’s that time again; the short, 3-minute long relief of Gurren Lagann. As the title suggests, each episode (yes, I admit that it took me this long to figure that Parallel Works is a weekly fixture) is a different story - on a totally realm altogether - from its original mecha fiction. Again, as parallel as it gets, this week, things took the opposite turn. What we have was Kamina, together with Simon, being the symbol of the greatness of mankind (the good guys). However this time, Viral took the role of the protagonist, somewhat into a cowboy-like hero with the 4 Great Commanders as his allies. And the villain is none other than Kamina himself. Yes, we get to see Kamina on the evil side while Viral as the good guy, though the latter is not exactly something new. With “Pierce the Heaven with Your XXX” as the accompanying song, this episode is something fun to watch.
This is the OST that everyone is talking about. Nyan Furo is the title for the original soundtrack for the highly acclaimed anime, Macross Frontier. Trust my words, this anime OST is the absolute best OST album ever. And I thought Kawai Kenji did well for Seirei no Moribito OSTs. Behind this brilliant music works is the ever fantastic Kanno Youko. Of course, who doesn’t know the industry’s fore-figure, Kanno Youko who stood along side with the likes of Kawai Kenji, Iwasaki Taku, and Joe Hisaishi. However I personally love Kanno’s composing style, which goes for the whole length of orchestral ranges and all the way to jazz - which I enjoy a lot, by the way. Indeed, her composition style is very versatile, making her one of the best anime composers of all time.
Welcome to Bokutachi no Blog. That's "Our Blog" in Japanese. Our Anime Blog, to be exact. And if you landed to this page by accident, probably in search for ecchi stuff, then you should regret to have hit this page. Don't worry, this blog is children-safe and no misdemeanor acts here. Sorry, you bald, middle-aged perverts. But thanks for the hit anyway.
