So about this week’s coverage of Persona 4, I really did plan on writing a post today and it’s not that I haven’t had enough time as me posting this shows. No, it’s that while I really, really enjoyed this week’s episode (It was utterly hilarious at times), there wasn’t nearly enough happening for me to write about, so next week’s post will cover both this episode and the next one.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Episode 07

Back with episode 5, I had some trouble writing about it as very little actually happened that week. Now, my problem this week is pretty much the same, only instead of very little happening, nothing happened at all. Still a funny episode (with some parts legitimately making me laugh out loud) but man, with episodes like this it’s hard to find much to say.

This week, Kodaka made some lunch for Maria, Kobato got jealous, everyone played a VR game, and then Kobato joined the club.

Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai – Episode 3

There are very few times I outright prefer one sub group over another (except that I always go for FFFansubs when it comes to Ika Musume, I hate squid puns) but I’m going to suggest that everyone stick to Mazui for Tomodachi. Aside from just being generally high-quality subs, the shouting matches with Yozora and Sena become way funnier with insults that I’m not sure I’m entirely allowed to post here. (I really wish I could, but I’m not sure how NSFW I’m allowed to go)

Boku wa Tomodachi Ga Sukunai – Episode 2

Maybe it’s because I’m a gamer, but I particularly enjoyed this episode of Tomodachi, in which the neighbours club decides that the best way to make friends is by playing videogames, namely Monster Hunter and eroge.

First Impressions – Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai

I’ve mentioned this before, but I enjoyed the manga adaptation of the light novels Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai, finding it to be a surprisingly funny comedy that didn’t act on the potential of its interesting concept very much, but was enjoyable nonetheless. Placing the focus on friendship rather than romance may not sound like much, but makes for a refreshing change of pace that is definitely appreciated.

I expected the anime to continue this, and be an enjoyable if unremarkable show that I would enjoy perhaps a bit more than I should. Turns out I hit the nail on the head.
