Light Novel: Zaregoto Volume 1 and 2

You see, I don’t get to read novels very often; so my knowledge in literature may be limited. However, if there something I know, is that Zaregoto is a fun read, especially for a person like me. The “me” as an anime fan is a sadist, the “me” in the internet is a narcissist and the “me” in the real world is passive and apathetic. Back to the subject, Zaregoto is written by this totally unknown author called NisiOisin. All this dude has done in his life is Bakemonogatari, Katanagatari and Medaka Box…No Big Deal >.>

English Publisher: Del Rey (formely), Kondasha USA (now?)
Number of Volume released: 2
Price: 11-12 bucks each.
Genre: Action (sort of), Mystery, Murder Continue reading ‘Light Novel: Zaregoto Volume 1 and 2′

A look at gaming – Review: Resident Evil: Revelations

Three Resident Evil games in one year? As a huge fan of the series, I’m ecstatic about it, however, I’ve had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind ever since RE6 was announced. I felt that maybe the series was spreading itself a bit thin, and that the quality of the games would suffer as a result. With that said, I’m very happy to announce that not only is Resident Evil: Revelations as good as I’d hoped, it’s also probably the greatest showcase for the 3DS thus far.

First Impressions: Natsume Yuujinchou Shi

According to the most recent Season’s Preview done by the Bokutachi no Blog team, it seems that at least half of my writers have never watched Natsume Yuujinchou. I know, now that the series is into its fourth season, it seems daunting to start at the beginning, but I think the story and characters are so believable and easy to invest in that you’ll find yourself breezing through the first three seasons and onto the fourth.

Or you could just start with the fourth.

Review: Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon

I will not remember December 24th, 2011 as the date of Christmas Eve, but rather as the moment when Fate/Zero Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon ended. Oh well, at least Horizon is getting a second season in Summer 2012. It was to be expected since the numbers for BD pre-orders were said to be pretty high. The first BD volume of Horizon sold 16,349 copies on the first week of release.

12 days of anime #6: BEST FUCKING SHOW EVER!!!!

If I were to materialize sex into a anime, that anime’s name would be Honey and Clover.  But no sex before you are married, right? :D You can watch Honey and Clover as a substitute before then.  Running Honey and Clover was the best decision Noitamina ever made.  The show doesn’t have samurai-esque massive “mobile suits” or exceedingly high amounts of fanservice.  The selling point is its ability to display a slice of life as it really is.  Except for Morita.  He’s just awesomely kickass.

The Evils of Anime: Blue Flames OVA

Warning: Even though there are no indecent pictures, this post isn’t for KIDS! This following anime is certainly not for kids either.

Lately, I’ve discovered I have a very twisted taste for anything that is EVIL or at least abnormal, partially due to the fact that I’ve been re-watching Kara no Kyoukai and the scene where Cornelius Alba plays around with Toko’s head still roams in my mind. And so, I’ve decided to visit some of the most evil anime in history. The first title of “The Evils of Anime” will be Blue Flames. I’ve found this anime thanks to Scamp’s Terribad Anime Reviews

Format: OVA

# of episode: 1

Year of Release: 1989

Genre: Drama, Erotica, Romance*

Studio: Nippon Animation

*The romance is a lie!

Kimi no Iru Machi ch. 148… Lezzo’s attack!

Yo! During my hiatus I started watching some doramas out of pure boredom. Sure it might sound weird, but that’s just a reflection of how interested I am in the current anime shows. Other than laughing a while with BtTtS2 and screening my imagination with Usagi Drop, I can’t find anything that really pulls me away from my Wii-playing-couch (Damn Mario Sports Mix, it’s quite addictive!)… Ok, got out of the topic… Coming back to the doramas, what I wanted to illustrate was the Asian drama way. Being from Mexico, I’m used to watch some soap operas every now and then, specially those with a historic background, and have found out that the points that make them so popular is that they’re live fairy tales, where the poor cute girl finds her sissy-face prince and live forever happily after defeating countless obstacles, bringing down numerous opponents and convincing his mommy that the raggedy princess is actually worth his love.. (hold on, I’m about to puke.. *gulp*.. ok, let’s keep going).

Jumpin’ down the rabbit’s hole… Again!

How would a BnB party look like...

Hi there! It’s been a while since I last had the honor to post my shallow words into this wonderful blog. It’s weird how you realize something is important only after you start missing it so badly that holding up without it is actually painful… well, that wasn’t the case in here, but still I really missed writing down for all of you!

Before I start babbling nonsense about many interesting otaku topics, let me apologize to both readers and writers of BnB for my absence. Unfortunately, real life is not precisely like anime or mangas, and sometimes we have to take a small hiatus to set all the wheels back in the road… Fortunately (at least for me..), it seems that I’m all set to get back to my weekly posts.

Well, first of all, I haven’t been completely out of the anime world during this time, and I also have been pending of some manga series pretty interesting to comment about. So, if you allow me, I’d like to give some brief update at least about my main topics. Will update on other series soon!

And if you landed to this page by accident, probably in search for ecchi stuff, then you should regret to have hit this page. Don't worry, this blog is children-safe and no misdemeanor acts here. Sorry, you bald, middle-aged perverts. But thanks for the hit anyway.
