Gundam 00 Season 2 Ending Theme [Prototype]

Note: The video is fan-made. It is not the official ending video. Looks like the song we keep hearing over and over in the trailers is the ending theme. However, it appears less rock and plays at a slower pace than in the trailers…frankly speaking, season 1′s OP and ED are still much nicer to me so far.

Vocals is by Chiaki ISHIKAWA who is the lead vocalist for the band see-saw. Her previous songs for anime are as below, most notably Gundam Seed and destiny’s Ending themes.

Wow. I know this one is a little late, considering that a few of the fall anime titles had began airing. But hey, the season would only begin after next week and for the first time, Bokutachi no BLOG presents the team’s joint blog post of the Fall 2008 anime preview. Japanese Scientists watches too much Gundam 00

Japanese scientists are so hyped up on the possibilities of building a real life space elevator that in just two months time the country is playing host to a conference designed to set a production timetable. Carbon nanotube technology has advanced so rapidly that a material capable of withstanding the amazing forces in the space elevator cable is almost within reach: according to the chairman of the Japan Space Elevator Association it’d only need to be four times stronger than the current strongest nanotube rope.

The potential benefits of accessing space by crawling up a cable versus launching rockets are mind boggling…especially when you realize it could be 100 times cheaper to get there than using a Space Shuttle. But building a more than 36,000km-long carbon rope (or more likely a series of parallel ropes) to connect an Earth-based “launch pad” with a geostationary-orbiting elevator hub still seems a lot like science fiction. Yet it turns out that development of carbon nanotube technology has seen a more than 100 times increase in the fiber strength in the last five years: four times more strength certainly seems possible.

The Space Elevator Association’s director also thinks technology similar to the Bullet train’s could be used to build the elevator cars, since nanotubes can be used as electrical conductors.  [Timesonline]

Gundam 00 Trailer 5

This new trailer is pretty short but considering the second season is fast approaching, this is just the beginning of what bandai will feed us for the next half of the year! woohoo! It appears that the translation of the organisation Arrows was wrong, it’s supposed to be A-Laws. Soo, instead of being outlaws…they are A-Laws? Any guesses as to what A represent?

Also, saji is locked up with a laptop plugged to a pink Haro. I reckon he is on Ptolemaeus 2 after being recruited and disobeying orders, just like lockons, edit : allelujha (Thanks to Lordfoamy for the headsup, uni is killing my braincells) Wonder what he did…point a gun at Setsuna? =p

Gundam 00 Season 2 CM 3

Another teaser of the new season of Gundam 00 had been released. In this CM, the background song is PROTOTYPE performed Ishikawa Chiaki. Most likely this would be the ED for the new season of Gundam 00 since the previous teaser trailer revealed a song by UVERworld as the OP. As for the preview, several of the characters missed out from the previous preview has been shown in this one – including Ms. Sumeragi, Livonze, and the new Lockon Stratos (which is unmistakably Lyle). Also in this preview is the appearance of the new character for the season.

Gundam 00 CM (Update)

Before this, MBS had released a CM for Gundam 00 but had revealed little on what to come in the series’ new season this coming October. Well, they did show a mature-looking Setsuna that is indicative enough that he survived the face-off against Graham. And in any Gundam fashion, Setsuna is destined to pilot the strongest Gundam in their arsenal and kick all those villains’ arses.

Another CM for Gundam 00 is released this week, shortly after the airing of this week’s episode of Code Geass R2. There is some many juicy details in store for the upcoming season of Gundam 00 and I reckon you to have it a watch. I will post the screencaps as soon as I’m done downloading the RAW file.

So now, we have Wang Liu-Mei with a longer hair, probably suggesting that she is all grown-up. There are a few new faces in store for season 2 as well. The real shocker here is probably how Saji have some action going on in the season 2 and the same goes to his girlfriend, Louise. Or could it be someone else who share the same hairstyle as Louise? Honestly, I doubt Louise is getting any action there simply because she lost her right arm. No discriminative sentiments here but having both hands are still better than one when it comes to piloting a mobile suit. So far, there is no indication for who would replace Lockon despite confirming that Setsuna, Tieria and Hallelujah are ready for the new season. I still hold my prediction, like many others agree that Lockon will be replaced by his own twin brother, Lyle.

From the song we hear from the CM, it is more likely that the band behind the song that probably is the OP for the season 2 of Gundam 00 is UVERworld. I don’t play guessing games here. I did compare the vocals of the song to a few of UVERworld’s songs and the similarities are very convincing. Now that is something to look forward to in the new season.
