Music Review

It has been a long time that I have intended to review on these two album. Both are good titles, each with their distinct style. Which album I’m talking about? Good Girl Gone Bad by Rihanna and It Won’t Be Soon Before Long by Maroon 5.

Good Girl Gone Bad
Rihanna

Good Girl Gone Bad

This album may sounded to be your typical Rihanna R&B style, the added factor to these is the amazing dance music influence to several of the tracks. The evident one was on the track Don’t Stop the Music, which seemed heavily influenced with Euro dance theme. Not to mention, Rihanna’s collaboration with Jay-Z had produced Rihanna’s best so far with Umbrella. This single is undeniably topping charts worldwide and will stay for quite sometime. The problem with Rihanna’s music is that each of her albums tend to have only a single hit, leaving the rest of the tracks much unknown. The last time she did that was for the album A Girl Like Me whereby she released a hit single, Unfaithful. Surprisingly her other single that followed after that did not repeat similar success. I did not listen to the whole album yet, so it is unfair for me to give judgement on that. However her latest album this time is more than pleasant, rather being very fast-beating – suitable as dance tracks.

Must listen: Good Girl Gone Bad
My ratings: 5/5

It Won't Be Soon Before Long

Maroon 5 is funky. Maroon 5 is coolness. I had always enjoy this band ever since their first big appearance with Song About Jane. Their funky beats are easy to the ears and surprisingly, easy to dance with. Not to sound bias but honestly, I like all the songs inside this album of theirs. Their first single from this album, Makes Me Wonder, already topping charts and more is yet to come. Comparing to the previous album, we won’t be getting much of love songs unlike before. Just easy listening. No pun intended but their album title, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long seems as though they are waiting but it makes me wonder of what are they waiting for. Overall the tracks are better suited to cruise yourself through traffic. Its soothing tunes surely can calm those impatient temper. Relax during the tense moments.

Must listen: Goodnight Goodnight
My ratings: 4/5

Welcome to Bokutachi no Blog. That's "Our Blog" in Japanese. Our Anime Blog, to be exact. And if you landed to this page by accident, probably in search for ecchi stuff, then you should regret to have hit this page. Don't worry, this blog is children-safe and no misdemeanor acts here. Sorry, you bald, middle-aged perverts. But thanks for the hit anyway.
