Sora no Manimani episode 3

Greetings one and all to my blog post on Sora no Manimani episode 3 and a bit of a lackluster episode it was if I may say so myself. However just saying that doesn’t constitute as a legitimate, thought-provoking, humorous blog post so I guess I shall have to say 695 more words.

Yet again I’m leading with a picture of the club president. Is there really any other way to begin?

Hetalia Axis Powers episode 27

Or you could call it Hetalia Axis Powers Season 2 episode 1 if you wish. That line is only there for people who decided to google the Season 2 option. From now on it’s just going to follow the numbering from last season. Heck I really don’t see why any place is classing this as a season 2. They didn’t even change the name of the anime so therefore it isn’t a second season. There, end of discussion.

Now lets get down to our good old weekly history lessons.

Favourite Anime Movie survey

I already mentioned this in my Akira post but I feel I should do a full post to garner more attention for this survey. Animesource are running a favourite anime movie survey. The polls close on August 5th so you still have about 2 weeks to vote (at least, at the time of writing). So go on, pop on over if you haven’t already voted yet. I have no idea how many people actually know of this site but they run giant fan-surveys about 3 times a year and they are always fun to see the results of.MovieSurveyTeaser

Sora no Manimani episode 2

I must admit I was having some doubts about Sora no Manimani. As I’ve learned from doing first impressions posts, first episodes can be very misleading (Kemeko and 07 Ghost being 2 examples of fantastic first episodes only to be later dropped in disgust). Plus this season has been a bit of a disappointment in a few cases. Umineko is just poorly done, Canaan lacks substance, Bones seemed to have forgotten to make a worthwhile story while focusing on making believable earthquakes and Endless Eight is still endless.

Sora no Manimani, on the other hand, only improved with this episode and has easily the greatest minor character of the year!

CANAAN Episodes One & Two

thought this picture might draw in more readers (haha)

thought this picture might draw in more readers

What an entertaining show – or so I think, at least. You meet a whole slew of characters without knowing what sort of role they’re going to play in the series – but it looks promising. A lot happens in the first episode alone, but because it’s clouded in mystery and the significance of each coinciding event has yet to be established, it’s almost as if nothing happens. We’re left with many questions after the first episode – questions that aren’t answered by the second episode; in fact, the second episode only increases the number of questions raised. But our curiosity is certainly piqued, which is what should keep drawing us back.
