Why I don’t care for Seiyuu

If you have read my season preview, you might have noticed that I haven’t made one reference to any voice actors in any of the anime. I talk about studios, directors, original authors and even timeslots but not one mention of the very thing that entire blogs are devoted to: Seiyuu. Why have I ignored such a vital part of the previewing process you ask? Well, that’s exactly what the point of this post is.

Hetalia Axis Powers episode 31

Seeing as it’s the end of August, now would be the perfect time for another Hetalia Christmas episode! Shut up, don’t question the collective intellect of Studio Deen. I’m sure they know what they’re doing.

Sora no Manimani episode 7

Around episode 4 I thought the subbing for this anime had settled down into a regular weekly pattern. Instead we get two weeks with nothing and then two in two days. It’s like busesmecha anime. None come along for several seasons and then 5 show up in one season…hopefully.

This time I’m going to tone down a bit on Hime appreciation since her chances are all but erased in this love square.

Fall 2009 Anime Season Preview

Maybe it’s because the first time I visited an anime blog was to read a Spring 2008 season preview, but these season preview posts always feel a bit special. Nothing else takes as much time to make or attracts as much hits. Season Previews are arguably the most important posts blogs produce for the rest of the anime community (well I’d argue that it is). So sit back and enjoy the latest Fall Anime Season Preview! (why Fall? Real men say Autumn)

All those shounen heroes

You can probably see where I’m going with this picture. Not only does this season see the return of one dog-eared demon, but we also see the birth of a brand new hit. It’s a good time to be a shounen fanboy. Shame I’m not one…

Most of the synopsis are either taken fron ANN or MAL (even though MAL takes most of it’s synopsis’ from ANN but whatever). Other info is generally taken from Chartfag’s amazing chart, Moetron or Can you Moe. You can also go to Ganbatte’s preview as it’s the only other one I’ve seen that’s actually had effort put into it.

A quick note before I begin. Please for gods sake, do NOT copy and paste this entire preview onto a forum or your own blog. If you do I’m going after you with a machete

Sora no Manimani episode 6

When it comes to the more popular anime, one can engage in fansub loyalty. For example, I always wait for gg subs to watch Bakemonogatari. With Sora no Manimani, it’s a simple case of ‘beggars can’t be choosers’. Not that there was much wrong with ASenshi subs, although you have to question the use of the word ‘aroused’ to describe the classroom atmosphere. And entire classroom full of kids aroused by Saku brings some rather unusual imagery to mind.

Welcome to Sora no Manimani episode 6, and you can expect yet another post of Hime fascination.

Twitter is like Princess Tutu

They have loads of people proclaiming how glorious it is, yet I just don’t understand what anyone sees in them.

Twitter picture

But like Princess Tutu, I’ve decided to give it a shot to see what all the fuss is about. I’ve set up an account here so if you want to listen to me ramble on pointlessly in 140 characters then you can follow my feed. And if I, for some reason, wanted to read you warble on needlessly in 3 lines of text then I could follow your feed. However the whole thing seems very dull, much like Princess Tutu, and chances are I’ll get bored pretty quickly. Like Princess Tutu.

Yeah, I’ve turned this into a Princess Tutu bash. Seriously, for all the fuss over that anime, it was really bad. The people in it were boring and had nothing new or original to say. Much like Twitter actually.

Hurrah for Pandora Hearts fanservice

You might claim you are watching this anime for the deep and involving plotline. You may point out the absorbing development Oz has gone through since the start, or how his relationship with Alice has gradually evolved over the course of the anime. You may also say, only as an afterthought, that you watch this anime for the fanservice, but hasten to add that this anime has a rather small amount of that said attraction. Frankly, I wish there was more.

Welcome to Bokutachi no Blog. That's "Our Blog" in Japanese. Our Anime Blog, to be exact. And if you landed to this page by accident, probably in search for ecchi stuff, then you should regret to have hit this page. Don't worry, this blog is children-safe and no misdemeanor acts here. Sorry, you bald, middle-aged perverts. But thanks for the hit anyway.
