Around episode 4 I thought the subbing for this anime had settled down into a regular weekly pattern. Instead we get two weeks with nothing and then two in two days. It’s like busesmecha anime. None come along for several seasons and then 5 show up in one season…hopefully.
This time I’m going to tone down a bit on Hime appreciation since her chances are all but erased in this love square.
Oh Saku, what have you done. What he had said at the end of the last episode wasn’t all that shocking. The problem is he said it far too dramatically with betrayal music playing in the background. If he had just kept to silly, slice-of-life music then he wouldn’t be in this predicament. Even Mihoshi felt the intent behind your statement.
Sometimes scenes like this can come off cliche and corny but Sora no Manimani actually pulls this off. I think it was more down to the weirdness of the situation. It wasn’t really a hug, it was a sort of semi-hug that lasted a bit too long. It’s the awkwardness of the hug that made it more…err…sexually enhanced then Mihoshi’s standard glomp. Glomping is a friendly thing, awkward half hug is more intimate. You can’t imagine Mihoshi giving an awkward half-hug to Hime. Well, I suppose the could but then this anime would’ve taken a startling direction that’s usually only reserved for doujins.
He bugged me at the start, but now Edogawa has grown on me a bit. All he really does at this stage is to pop up and perform acts of pure randomness. Practicing taking pictures of gravure magazines has to be one of the most random scenes I’ve seen this anime do. Plus his conversation with Hime was brilliantly funny with how quickly he answered all her questions without questioning her motives. Or maybe he did question her motives and she confessed off-screen. Maybe that means Edogawa will join Hime’s friends in trying to hook her up with Saku. Maybe there’s chance for Hime yet? Or maybe she’ll just end up with Edogawa. Pfft Hime, you can do better than him! Like Mihoshi for instance.
It appears out busty bespectacled bookworm has given up on Saku. There was more than a hint of resignation in her voice when she was telling him to go back to the astronomy club. So basically the best choice for Saku has given up so now he has to settle for our resident DFC. Actually Mihoshi has practically no breasts whatsoever. I mean, if you compare her to more recent DFC’s, such as Nagi from Kannagi or Taiga from Toradora, at least the had some semblance of boobs. Mihoshi actually has nothing.
Hmmm, an entire paragraph about breast size. I guess this is a backlash from Hetalia blogging.
Blah blah blah stars blah blah blah constellations blah blah blah astronomy blah blah blah etc.
Some of those astronomy conversations are geting really boring. It’s almost like they’re beginning to run out of things to talk about. I mean, how much is there to say without a telescope to look at comets and such. Sorry Mihoshi but I just don’t share your enthusiasm for astronomy. I’ll just join the Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture if you don’t mind.
Could I really go an entire post without a proper Hime pic?
Another enjoyable episode, although not quite up to the standard of the previous one. The gears are being set in place for Saku X Mihoshi but I’ve yet to be convinced they’re right for each other. There’s still plenty of time for that though and even more time for Saku’s rep to grow even more fearsome.
I take waaaaay too many screenshots watching this anime.

I’m pretty sure Mihoshi had a little bit of curves if I remember correctly from the beach episode.
The astronomy info bits have been pretty good thus far (as in easy to digest for amateurs and practical if you want to go stargazing) but the one in this episode was handled a bit boringly. Stretching out ‘different cultures name different stars different things’ for so long wasn’t all that inspiring, at least the way it was presented. But it seemed to be enough for Saku.
Agreed with Mr. Black on the fansubs. But not it seems like Koharubi is going to be keeping up.
While it seems like the writers are setting up for a Mihoshi X Saku couple, never give up. Together my Fumie ship and your Hime ship will hold out to the last man, inspiring manly tears in all who bear witness and inspiring ballads of our tragic loyalty down through the ages!

It’s bizarre how much subbing and downloading is being done for Princess Lover. I mean, it’s not like it’s a bad show or anything, but…It’s bloody Princess Lover FFS. It’s a generic harem with horrible animation and bouncy boobs. The only good thing was the rather clever dialogue.

I think I downloaded Aenshi or whatever their name is for the last two episodes. I guess it inspires competition to produce quicker subs.
The thing about Hime shipping is that I don’t specifically want her to end up with Saku. I just want to see her get a little bit of love from somewhere. I’m a strong supporter of the Hime X Anyone_nice and if that person happens to be Saku then so be it
It’s remarkable in favor of me to have a site, which is helpful for my knowledge.
