    Pewpewpew for 21 billion dollars!

They could spend their money in better ways for now, though I agree the idea is environmentally friendly if nothing untoward happens.

you’d have money left over Scampie.
apparently building your own Gundam only costs $725 million.

so for $21 billion perhaps a small army of Gundam.

but but but gundam uses energy, it doesn’t produce energy =(

It may take $725 million to build Gundam but I’m sure it will cost billions in R&D. Let’s not forget to account the fact to develop the energy source for Gundam, say a GN-drive, then the light-weight yet sturdy materials to actually construct Gundam. Then to develop their weapons, i.e., GN Cannon, GN Blade. $21 billion now seems like an understatement. FYI, it took a multinational effort and $50 billion to put the International Space Station to space, and it is still under development.

Wasn’t there an Israeli guy who commented on the blog saying he would help us build a Gundam? Maybe they’ve gone some of the distance in the R&D department
