First Impressions: Asura Cryin’ Season2 Ep1

Mainly because of my love for the good-old fashion romance/comedy anime, I decided to go ahead and take a very cautious look at the oh-so-hated upon Asura Cryin’ Season 2 episode. I will have to admit that even though Scamp gave a rather good review on it, I still am a fan of the fist season of Asura Cryin. Which is why I was surprised to not see to many people defending this anime. Truthfully, I have to hand it to Seven Arcs and praise them for the mecha-style character designs they did. I really enjoyed the story line…BUT, I definitely did not like the ending. *sob, *sniffle sniffle, it made me cry! *runs while wailing all the way to the bathroom to blow nose.  XD

So here it is. Basically, after starting me off  lost in the first moments of the episode, it all came down to start making sense when Tomoharu has a dream of the past, or wait, maybe a vision, umm I guess you could call it “echoes of the past”. I’m not sure if it’s just my impression, but the love story between Tomoharu and devil girl, Kanade Takatsuki, just got a whole lot hotter! I mean after the scene of Nastume and Misao kissing, I was like, “WOOOOUUUU!” .

Asura Cryin' 2

I think you get my drift, so there’s no need to emphasize the fact that the 2nd season of Asura Cryin’ might just be ready to give us a B- to at least a B+ in Scamps standards that is. For all of you who do, in fact, take his ratings very seriously and don’t give these shows a second chance, maybe it’s time we take a step back.

And Please let me know if there is anyone out there who DOES like this anime series, because I am seriously thinking about taking the time to review it’s episodes. But, if in turn, no one gives a hoot about it… then I’ll have to drop it like I did the baseball that was just thrown at me, lol.

I dig this show. I watched all of season one, and thought it was pretty good. I gotta see the rest

Yea, I digged this show a lot…and it seems like its getting better.

But its one of those shows where I prefer it to stay as a series type of thing, you know, because I really enjoy watching the story develop with all that love-hate thing…unless they make a movie somewhat like “The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”. 🙂
