12 Moments in Anime #10: A screenshot tells a thousand words

It’s a cliché phrase I know. But sometimes all you need is a picture, possibly toss in a caption for good measure. So this moment in anime is this awesome scene from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood episode 19, the single greatest scene of the year.

Since this post is an eensy bit small, I’m going to link you all to those bloggers who are also partaking in this project: otou-san, schneider, doctordazza, Gargron, zaon47, kevo, rabbitpoets, drmchsr0, Pontifus, ghostlightning, 53RG10, Vii, Seinime, _ETERNAL, FuyuMaiden, Eater-of-All, Shinmaru, calaggie, yumeka, and that’s about it. Sorry if I missed you, I took this list of CCY’s blog.

BTW, does anyone want to place bets on what will be the most talked about scene this year? Apart from a certain 8 episodes that is.

I can totally see dozens of Kimi ni Todoke and Bakemonogatari posts. (I think I will contribute there too)

    I take Bakemonogatari… FTW!

XD maybe I have a better one, but I just can’t think of any right now…

Ah yeah, this was an awesome FMA scene!

I would place my bets on Bakemonogatari, K-ON!, and perhaps Toradora! and Clannad After Story.

Thanks for the link, by the way. But would you mind changing it to my blog (animeyume.com/blog) instead of the main site because the blog is where my 12 moments are posted.

The most talked about individual scene is definitely this one right now. (And deservedly so — what a scene it is!) Even I haven’t been deterred from posting about it eventually, because I think I have a decent angle on it.

Am I the only who think that one of the year’s most memorable scene is when Takizawa shoots down the missiles over Tokyo in Eden of the East? Of course, he wouldn’t make without Juiz’s help.

My guesses for the most popular scenes from the year are the above Mustang scene, Senjogahara fascination, Moe moe kyun and JOHNNYYYYY!!!

Link fixed. Sorry, I copypasted those links from mega megane moe

It’s great fun to see what was popular from the year amongst everyone. This has certainly emerged as one of the most loved scenes

That’s probably my number 2 best scene from the year. I have at least one Eden post on the way, possibly two

I think you accidentally combined my link with the URL of this post, since the link to my blog doesn’t work =0 Sorry, don’t mean to be nitpicky, just thought you would want to fix it.

@Gargron: Hmm, Bakemonogatari was an excellent show, with a lot of very, very good moments, but I can’t think of the one great moment that would stand out (although I’d bet the date will make a lot of people’s lists).

I’d guess something from Clannad 2.

Lol anytime I talk about fma, I ALWAYS talked about mustang burning up hoes (enemies, not women). Like I ALWAYS talk about it. I feel left out 😦

Fixed. I didn’t add in the http so it acted all funny

I really need to try Clannad 2 again. The first few episodes bored me silly so I never went back but it sounds like the actual plot continued later on

Noblesse Oblige. May I get through these 12 days posts without my brain frying
