Evangelion: Should they have left it alone?

One of my biggest peeves in today’s anime world is the constant remaking of classic anime simply for the use of profits and merchandise.  Sure, it revives the spirit of the anime and it certainly helps attract more fans, but should some anime be left alone so that people can truly appreciate the masterpiece that was first created long ago?  The artwork of previous generations goes essentially to waste when a group of people remake a movie/series so that new people look to the remake versions rather than the ones that made them famous.  Anyways, I want to talk about Evangelion, and I want to hear what you guys think about the series, the movies, and the remakes of it.

Spring Anime 2010 Preview

My friends, this is the product of giving SPIRAL the duty to make this long post.  It’s not as good as Scamp’s, I know, but it took me a hell long of a time to make this too, but I’ll keep on fixing it.  You know the drill: the other writers and I have compiled a list of the anime of the Spring 2010 season and given you the summaries, the trailers (when they come out), and our thoughts on them.  Once again, the information comes from many different sources such as ANN, Chartfags, Metanorm, and my good friend, Google Images and Youtube.

Durarararararara 7 ra’s

The Awesomerific Column by Poro

What do you get when you make a modern Hercules?  You get a man of  mass destruction who really doesn’t want to be a man of mass destruction.  Through the tasks he commits he gains confidence and renown.  I found it really amusing how Shizuo is like the spitting image of Hercules.  Perhaps you don’t know the tale of Hercule’s 12 tasks.  Well, that’s not really important.  Time to get to the main plot.

Before we begin let me state a fundamental change of views for me:  Shinra is a hunky-dory psychopath with some serious issues.

Kinda of like this guy. I edited it to make it look a tad bit more realistic.

What to expect from K-ON!!

My resolution for the coming anime season was to have less and less summaries of just each episode but to have more thoughts on different things about the anime world so that more people can be interested more by my thoughts rather than the anime itself.  Hence, that being said, my first article will be “What to expect from K-ON!!”  Now, for those of you who don’t know, the first season is K-ON! while the second season is called K-ON!!, with two exclamations.  Yeah, I know it’s weird but here are the top five things you can expect from the second season.

Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu episode 6

I am an idiot.  I had realized that I had not yet blogged episode 6, and possibly this can be the best episode because it’s a pool/bathhouse special. Sorry for missing the date, but as promised here is episode 6.  I can’t really remember what it was about other than that it was at the swimming pool featuring random funny and fan-service events.  You can all kill me later after the pictures, but since there’s no summary, you get the comments under each picture.

“You went from episode 5 to episode 7 to episode 6!?”

Sora no Woto episode 8

What I like a lot about anime is that there are so many different types with so many different styles of artists and so many different genres. That, of course, goes without to say that a lot of people watch different anime, but I never knew that K-ON!! would be aired on 28 stations in Japan.  That being said, look out for the second season of K-ON!! to come – blindability will likely blog that series.

…and the menu today is meat.

ookami kakushi – The Jouga Counting Rhyme

Of course I didn’t ignore this from Episode Seven. I just thought a separate post would be better. I’ll keep updating them with each episode release and provide a link at the bottom of each of my posts.

…If I remember, haha.

ookami kakushi episode seven

Kaname spends more time researching the folklore of Jouga which gets her into trouble with the Vigilance Committee. I didn’t like how that guy who kidnapped her was panting though; it reminded me of Issei when he was aroused by Hiroshi. At first I thought he was having a similar reaction, but apparently he was just being inconspicuous by breathing heavily.
