Today’s post was brought to you by your fellow Student Council President, who might just be a maid in her part-time job.
If you’ve watched enough anime as I have, you know that there are special anime episodes with set events. Swimming pool specials… beach specials… and my personal favorite: culture festivals hosted by the schools… doing a café. Yes, it’s a school festival episode and our cute little student council president is busier than ever with the school festival preparations, particularly because she wants to refresh the image of the school… aka bring more girls for enrollment. I don’t see why so many of the guys are against the idea of having more girls… but… who knows (maybe they’re all homo?)
But rather than the festival itself, this particular anime focuses more on the character’s emotional problems dealing with the problems leading up to the festival. Yes, there aren’t that many scenes dealing with just the festival but it’s all good, since the focus switches from ‘kaichou-san’ to Usui Takumi over and over again. Speaking of Usui Takumi, doesn’t he look like Ichiro from School Rumble? What bugs me in particular is that the creators of this show have to give a comical face/appearance every time our little prez gets mad. Yes, it was funny and still is a bit funny, but it’s starting to get old with the little devil horns popping up all over the place.
Pole position: why can’t the two just go out already? It’s going to happen, we know, but the two of them are just denying the inevitable. Funny episode with a bit of thought (who knew you could learn something useful from a maid café) and good artwork. The song is catchy and the maid-café scenes were just brilliantly done. Tens bucks says that I’m reviewing this series for sure now.
