Kaichou wa Maid-sama! episode five

Isn’t Usui already the biggest stalker?

So lately on the news there’s been reports of stalkers goin’ around different cosplay cafe chains and… stalking the employees.  Throughout the entire episode, we are reassured that Misa can take care of herself no matter how many times Usui tells her, stalkers her, pretends to be a stalker, and plays with her.  Spanking seemed to be a big theme in the episode (and I tell you, Usui looked like he wanted it) and Misa shows off her strength by beating up guys in aikido and tearing off her handcuffs like a BEAST. My god, those two stalkers looked like “Oh shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii-” before they got their asses whooped.  Oh well, now we only have one stalker left (refer to the punchline of this post) and it seems that next week’s episode will feature bunny ears.

Nice.  How many more episodes must we go through before Misa actually thinks that she might like Usui?  Regardless, somewhat a more pleasing episode than last time, although we did get that little Aoi – Misa reunion at the end where Usui wants the picture of Misa in a dress.  At the end of the episode, I had seriously thought that Usui was going to legit save Misa and have her like… confess to him or something.   But the way she ripped off the handcuffs and tape, I began to feel frightened myself.  Needless to say, the breaking-glass was hardcore and we can really see that Usui is obsessed with protecting Misa, his “personal maid”.  A lot of chibi-scenes with the manager made up for the lack of comic figures, although the three guys running out of money scene was pretty funny as well.  Speaking of money, why is Misa using a Macbook when she is clearly very poor? (see second screen-cap – the pear with a bite-mark is a spin off Apple’s marketing, right?)

And to correctly justify what I had said about last week’s episode as so aptly pointed out by Sea Slugs Anime Blog, this episode was actually on the brighter side… or was it?  Are we looking at more development from this, or something never to be brought up again?

“why is Misa using a Macbook”
Who said it was HER Pearbook ?

Anyway, did you manage to notice the Amazing Living Poster ? When Misa smacks herself on the head with baton the poster on the wall behind her comes to life.

On second thought, it’s probably the student council guy’s (the timid dark-green-haired kid) since he asked her to do his work

Yeah, I was thinking it was probably the macbook of the school/student council.

Also if Misa could just break out of handcuffs and beat them up… why didn’t she do it earlier? One’s still holding the Taser, it’s not like she’s in a better position later. Maybe she gained anger power.

Yeah, the macbook thingy is probably Yukimura’s. Though I do have to wonder why does it have to be a pear? I mean a pear is really close to apples and all but pears are just so… icky. Why not something more tasty like a pineapple? Ah, just trailing off a bit there. As for Misa’s burst of strength there… perhaps she -really- didn’t want to be saved by Usui or something?

I’m glad in the end she didn’t have to be saved by him, because it shows that she’s not totally dependent on him and that she can live by herself. I mean, if Usui helped her with everything, she would’ve lost her character.

    Ahem. >.>

Well, Misaki getting herself out of that situation was fun to watch. It made for good comedy and even funnier when it turns out the guys are Masochists XD

I LOOOOVE the manager Satsuki tho. >_> 30 year old and lookin’ like THAT. Mmmmm I like.
