Kaichou wa Maid-sama! episode eight

Since that school has a really long and annoying name, I will be referring to it as “A-Academy”.

And its the first episode that is actually a direct sequel to the previous episode with the whole Tora Igarashi conflict.  While Misaki is conflicted whether or not she will go to A-Academy, the Vice-President lavishes her with gifts and  tries to persuade her to go, for the sake of her and her sister’s future.  While Misaki is sure that she herself doesn’t want to go, she can’t help thinking about Suzuna, but damn that sister is a good cook… or so I thought when it turns out that everything was tofu.

While Misaki is acting depressed, she finally decides to go to A-Academy, much to the shock of her friends and co-students.  Igarashi Tora spills orange juice on her, causing her to wash up and dress up in …. a new frisky uniform.  While Tora starts to have his way with her, Misaki admits that she never had the intention of leaving Seika, much to the surprise of our CEO-to-be.  What’s unsurprising is that Usui breaks in and saves Misaki, to which she promptly replies a hesitant “Thank you” and she is welcomed back by her friends from Seika High.  But of course, Tora’s not happy and so it looks like we’re in for some more action… next week.

So this episode I felt had a decent amount of action and conflict than what this series normally gives us.  Of course, I was expecting for Misaki to beat the cr*p out of Tora herself but somehow, she couldn’t use her super powers as well as I thought she would.  On the more humorous side of things, Suzuna is starting to go all ‘Korone’ (Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou reference) and really is starting to be blunt with that “it’s because we’re poor line”.  On the other hand, I felt sorry for the Three Idiots when Misaki wasn’t there to celebrate there birthday.  Come to think of it, this was probably the episode with the least amount of Maid Latte being in it, right?  But I’m up for a uniform change to the one Misaki was wearing while getting molested by Tora.
