arakawa under the bridge episode eight

So the opening monologues aren’t always philosophical; sometimes they reveal character and character background. This week we took another glimpse into Recruit’s relationship with his father. This tense relationship is one of the foundational building blocks on which Recruit was raised, and its direct impact on his values and life view are clearly visible. Though Nino (and others) have worked hard, and continue working hard to break down such emotionally stunting barriers, overcoming an obstacle as daunting as a love-stingy father.

living in your father's shadow is hard; being thrown out from under it is even harder

katanagatari episode five

This month we track Togame and Shichika to Satsuma where they look to add Zokutou Yoroi to their collection of Shikizaki’s Deviant swords. Interestingly enough, Zokutou Yoroi is not held and wielded like a regular sword, but worn as a full suit of armour (styled after Western armor). Though this isn’t so unusual considering our main male character is considered a sword in and of himself.

Vote for us!… or not.

While you’re on this front page, it would be nice of you whether or not you are a frequent visitor or an occasional accidental wanderer to vote for our blog in this tournament.   We’re at the top of the page so it would be nice to have more votes from our viewers!  XD Thanks.  That being said, we will use this post for constructive comments that might help us make our blog look better.

GIANT KILLING! episode eight

After watching Korea trash Japan 2-0 today in an international friendly thanks to a well-placed drive and a last-minute penalty, I found myself on a soccer high.  As a result, I got 9 other friends at 10pm and decided to play some 5 v 5 midnight soccer.  Needless to say when I got home at 4 in the morning, my body was dead (mind you I stayed up at 3:45 AM to watch Internazionale beat Bayern Munich in the Champions League final only the day before).  But thanks to some gum, I find myself writing this blog post.  Funny coincidence that it should be about a soccer show.

Who will you be supporting at the 2010 World Cup?

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou episode eight

As the date grows closer and closer to our involvement in 5camp’s Aniblog Tournament, I find myself feeling better and better about this blog and hopefully we can get somewhere.  Of course, having an episode where nothing exciting happens on the same week of our introduction to that tournament doesn’t really help, but it’s time for another classic, or should I say ‘disappointing’ episode Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.

"...why yes, I do enjoy playing the violin."

Durarara 17 and 18: Wounds

Yay! Poro is BACH! Do to relatively small natural disasters, My electrical supply lines were severed as the forces of natured pitted me in a two front war.  I was forced to fight them both off with my black gloves of justice and guard skills, more commonly known as a bucket, sponge, and pink rubber gloves you can get at a 99 cents store.  I decided to take on the closure of the Slasher arc and Kida’s past.  BTW I would like to propose the creation of the Izaya is a MotherFucking Dick Society. (IMFDS )

I would like to propose several trivial topics to fill my post up with some actual original content that has (hopefully) not been discussed during the 1 week MIA time.  Onward. Continue reading ‘Durarara 17 and 18: Wounds’

Sorry, you bald, middle-aged perverts. But thanks for the hit anyway.
