Amagami SS episode five

It may or may not come as a shock to you but my Starcraft 2 disc is suddenly going haywire on me after I only played it for ten hours straight… haha, yes I did but regardless, it’s been suddenly going haywire on me and I’m about to break it or return it and demand a refund.  Religions aside, I guess we’re off to a new start on this loop of love for our hero Junichi and it looks like this time the chick is his one and only friend since middle-school: Kaoru, who happens to be more or less my favorite heroine route.

That’s a very enticing picture I have right here but too bad for many of you, it’s Junichi’s imagination (I wish it happened that quickly).  We’ve already seen Kaoru in Haruka Morishima’s arc as a bit of an outgoing girl, but in her own arc, she takes that to a whole another level.  From the beginning to the end of this episode, I found myself being sucked into the Kaoru’s world and actually quickly forgot about Haruka  Morishima (I also noticed that her friends didn’t become Junichi’s friends as well).

K-ON!! episode seventeen

In a tragic turns of events, blindability was called back to arms by Brian to fight the twenty-limbed monster back on Antarctica as a medic and a sniper, using only bullets made from 90% lead to possibly harm the beast.  Luckily, she had expected this and left a pile with a sticky note saying “SPIRAL, take care of the silly girls with guitars for me this week” to which I choked on my coffee in surprise as I found myself alone in Bokutachi’s secret underground headquarters.  “Silly girls with guitars” I thought, “will always be silly”.

Of course, I found myself wondering what kind of fun episode K-ON!! could bring this time although it certainly would not be a Mugi-centric episode since 1) blindability is not here and 2) because they just had one.  Maybe it would be something that had music again, or maybe it would be perhaps a beach special.  Regardless, that’s the good things about K-ON!!: you just don’t know what to expect from… you know, silly girls with guitars.

Ookami-san and Her Seven Companions episode five

Ugh, sorry kiddies but I might be a little slower (by maybe a day or two) on blogging series like I normally do since I got bronchitis and that’s basically quarantining myself in my room.  Hey, wait a minute – that gives me more time to write and watch anime!  Wow, I dunno the logic in that but you guys should be prepared in case I snap for these reviews, but I won’t because my body is 10% blood and 90% awesome-ness.

Of course, being locked up in my room didn’t do much but I did enjoy re-watching How I Met Your Mother again (that’s the only live show I watch now basically) and I realized how awesome Barney (Neil Patrick Harris) is but anyways, I’m not here to talk about awesome people, I’m here to talk about… sexy awesome people as introduced to Momoko-san this episode who seems to enjoy molesting men and women with her nice bod and sexy appearance.

Steins; Gate anime announced

Originally a game and the “sequel” to Chaos; Head (which has also been adapted into an anime), Nitroplus and 5pb. will see another one of their scientific adventures turned into a series that will be aired on the TV for Japan and the anime-loving world to see in Steins; Gate.  Chiyomaru Shikura, the head of 5pb., announced this via a network account although it is not clearly known whether this series is to air the following fall 2010 season.

I thought Chaos; Head was a bit messed up but then again, I’m the kind of person who actually enjoyed Higurashi.  The guy who designed the characters in Black Rock Shooter is designing the characters for this one so let’s hope it’s not another K-ON plus Chaos; Head feeling to it.  Details to come later in one of the delicious season previews.

Shukufuku no Campanella episode four

Ahhh speak of the devil when the good anime’s latest episode turns bad, I hope that the bad anime’s latest one turns good.  From last week’s preview, it looked like we were heading off to the hot springs and with this kind of anime that seems to just pleasure the fans with the female characters and their female antics, it’s probably one of the better episodes we’ll have for the whole series.  Don’t know how foreboding that can get.

Regardless, I had just watched Clash of the Titans (the remake one) before watching this and after seeing Perseus complete his quest, Oasis’ quest of finding some simple bathtub stones seemed pretty childish to me.  Don’t know why people said that movie was dumb because you actually don’t watch those movies for the plot (it’s based on a legend, for sake) but rather the director’s interpretation of such events.  Regardless, back to Shukufuku…

HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD episode four

I was disappointed in not only what Takashi wouldn’t do when he was alone with the love of his life but how Madhouse used to episode to basically take a break and fill 80% of it with just recaps.  Since they basically that, so will I with my thoughts on this episode.  If you want to read about that last scene with the guy and the knife, just scroll down to you see it.

No blood, no bouncing boobs, and no zombie feeding action (I mean, that last scene was even cut).  They had censored the boob-grabbing action from that guy in the last scene on the version I’ve watched and I’m desperately trying to find out why since she obviously has two layers of clothing on that spot.  I guess pantsu are okay, but boob-grabbing through two layers isn’t.

Sekirei ~pure engagement~ episode four

One thing I happen to really hate about anime and manga series is fillers.  For those of you who don’t know what a filler is, it’s an episode or chapter that completely detracts from the plot and does something completely random that has no correlation to the story.  Naruto has been known for its fillers between arcs and so has One Piece, but those are big series so it’s okay.  However, when a thirteen-episode show has a filler between arcs, it starts to get pretty annoying.

I have to admit I thought we were heading towards a filler episode – I mean, we just winged Kazehana, everyone is partying, Musubi is giving words of wisdom, and Uzume is prancing off to be a slave again.  In short, nothing out of the norm.  Even Homura had a bit of a scene but I thought nothing of it until the bath and the text that changed it all.  Thank you Gamemaster for making this episode a bit more interesting that it began with.

GIANT KILLING! episode seventeen

I guess the episodes for this arc are not only focusing on Sera but his conflicts with the other strikers.  I’m not a striker – I’m a defender, so I cannot really say I can relate to how they feel at not scoring goals.  Mmhmm, I’ve been doing a lot of series nowadays and I have to admit I haven’t played soccer for a while now even though I would like to.  Of course, being back in Chicago doesn’t really help the fact that nobody here plays a pick-up game (I mean, in Korea you could just go walk onto a field, talk to some guys, and a game would be on in five minutes).

That doesn’t really help Sera who ended last episode with an injury.  I’m starting to not like how every episode wastes 5 of the 24 minutes it’s given to recap exactly the same thing’s that been happening in the previous episode.  Yes, we all know that Sera’s disappointed and yes we know he injured himself.  It’s bad enough we have to deal with his complaining within the episode that we have to go through it again on the next one.
