Hypnotism, drunk girls, and a whole lot of stalking by Usui.
I couldn’t bother blogging about episode thirteen by itself because it would literally be just one or two sentences explaining that the plot was that the Baka Trio was known for its delinquency in middle shcool but ever since they became fans of Misaki, their reputation has changed. Their old middle school friends pay them a visit but get changed by Misaki, Usui, and their friends in realizing that people change as they grow. Touching cheesy message, BUT WHAT THE HELL IS IT DOING IN MY KAICHOU WA MAID-SAMA!? Pointless episode with nothing achieved.
This episode, on the other hand, was a bit more fun as we got to saw our favorite characters get hypnotized by some freshman who hates girls. First off, I didn’t really like the new character as 1) he is too tall and scary-looking to actually be a freshman and 2) he looks like a ___________. No kidding – who hates girls? Why would you want less girls at your school? However, you have to give him credit for the whole drunk-Misaki scene which I totally think we need to see more of. Usui surprisingly was able to hold himself well even when Misaki asked him to strip her in a very seductive manner (*flocks of people start to watch the show*). Funny scenes in general made this episode a fresh breathe of air after several disappointing showings.
I guess this is the running joke throughout the series. Poor bastard.
It was cute to see Misaki try and Usui stalk as the two worked together to keep Misaki awake and not let her sleep (aka wake up and hate Usui) – Misaki fails and falls asleep, but I doubt that she’ll wake up to hate Usui. The short speech that “I don’t believe in the person who hypnotizes me and that’s why it doesn’t works” proves that Misaki will overcome this and she will be on the same terms with Usui as always. Sad thing that she couldn’t agree when Usui pointed out that she liked him.
