The good thing about this series is that you don’t really expect much from it except for the sex jokes and the… well, serious sexual matters. As aptly demonstrated by stalker-camera-chan in the previous episode, the sex jokes are really nothing when Takatoshi are not around. Mmhmm well, I better get this review done quickly since I know you guys basically just want Hatsune Miku and Black Rock Shooter (which I will do as soon as I finish this post).
The sex jokes in this episode particularly were very funny as the episode spanned from returning to Kyoto all the way through the summer with Shino’s birthday, and I guess that makes her one year closer to becoming legal and doing all the crazy things she want to do. I admit that this series is hard to write a lot about.
Takatoshi trying to make Shino feel better after watching the porno had to be funny but one of the more disappointing approaches in the episode – Shino surprisingly backs up and accuses Takatoshi of sexual harassment, one of the clearer misunderstandings of the show. Unlike that misunderstanding, she was pretty good in finding the thief of her melon-pan. Although the teacher was quick to deny it, she admits that she needed something sweet after having something bitter… of course, we have a suggestive picture of a… vegetable. Speaking of vegetables, we all can give a raise of eyebrows at her gift to Shino which was a double-ended dildo. How does this show manage to stay on air and avoid getting those things taken off? Seriously, this show is cutting close to the edge, and we all like it. It also suggests that Shino is expected to be bi? Up for grabs.
Suzu had some great moments in this episode like when she gave a thoughtful piggy bank as a present, however you can’t blame her for drinking milk at a suggestive angle in front of Takatoshi that makes it seem… well, Aria shouts it out pretty blatantly in the middle of the session. Enough with the sex jokes, let’s get back to the opening of presents… wow, bondage bear for practice. “Practice for what?” I may ask, but it seems that Shino certainly likes the present more than any of us can relate to. At least she looked normal in the last scene walking with Takatoshi under the same umbrella, and they actually legit look like a great couple together. It was a good moment as the episode ended with Takatoshi trying to be cool as he lent Shino the umbrella… but missed the green light and had to wait. LOL
Funny episode and I’m surprised that this is still in the same volume. If that’s true, I definitely have to buy this series for all its jokes and humor which I hope isn’t censored in the actual manga. Suggestive angles and things are suggestive of different things, and it’s Seitokai Yakuinodomo that makes ordinary things seem sexual. Like taking off your jacket with Aria, you should always be careful around your student council president, who always might go “Tsuda…” really slowly with a suggestive disappointing stare.
