Kyousogiga

This season, I’ve decided I won’t be reviewing any one show. This is mainly due to the fact that there isn’t really any show I want to review this season. So, instead, I’m going to review whatever OVAs and movies air and I can get my hands on. I know some OVAs and anime movies are based on pre-existing shows and may or may not make sense to me based on whether or not I’ve seen the preceding series (or read the manga series), so I’ll definitely keep that in mind.

And on that same thought, I chose Kyousogiga to start with because, as far as I can tell, it’s a one-shot. (I suppose now would be a good time to warn about possible spoilers; I’m not spoiling intentionally, just subconsciously.)

Brave10 Episode 3

Something here seems a bit out of place in this anime. What could it be…

hint: it’s the sniper rifle.

Aquarion Evol Episode 4: More reincarnation hypothesis!!

Well, I have finished cramming Sousei no Aquarion. So, I hopefully won’t sound like a total ignorant. After finishing that show completely, I thought that Shouji Kawamori was on weed or on any drugs. However, after the 4th episode of Evol, I think someone has forbidden him from touching his stash or something (if he is indeed on drugs).

Another – episode 02

I’ve been putting off writing this for a few days now, because I think this episode was even slower than the last. The only thing that seemed to be of huge note plot-wise was Kouichi learning about the dead girl who just so happens to be called Misaki, and the living (?) Misaki taking off her eye patch in the very last seconds of the episode, and we didn’t even get to see what was under it, though it made a great hook for next week.

First Impressions – Aquarion Evol Ep 1-3: The Return of a big sex joke

I know, what an odd time this is to do an impression on Aquarion Evol. There were some issues here and there, but, hey, better late than never.

First Impressions – Ano Natsu de Matteru

To my surprise, after watching the first episode, I can safely conclude that Ano Natsu de Matteru (Waiting in the Summer) is the spiritual remake of Please Teacher!. You’ll find similar plot, setting, characters and opening. I was expecting some nostalgia because of Yousuke Kuroda, the screenplay writer, and Taraku Uon, the original character designer, having made Please Teacher!. However, I wasn’t expecting Ano Natsu to be so identical to that show. J.C.Staff might as well rename this Please Senpai! or Please Transfer Student!. LOL

It’s All About the Queen

The last time I wrote about Chihayafuru, it had a slight confrontation with some people who really, really didn’t like Chihayafuru. Well I’m just going to put it out there that those who do not enjoy Chihayafuru are probably better off not reading this post because after fourteen episodes, I still love it.

Besides, if you’re not a fan, have stuck it out for fourteen episodes, and read reviews and random posts about Chihayafuru… then I think you just need to admit that you really love it. It’s okay. You’re in good company.
