The 2nd annual Aniblog Tourney is in full swing with the first round to completed within the the week, in fact it could already be done, the round is so massive I get lost. And by some wondrous miracle the aniblog gods have seen to it that we won our first match and by a surprisingly large margin too.
So seeing the whole point of the tourney is to readers and visitors to other interesting aniblog’s I thought it’d be a good idea to put the spotlight on our opponents.
Round 1: The G-Empire
The G-Empire, our first round opponents is an anime/manga blog run by one dude; OG-Man (at least I think it’s one dude) and he really seems to be passionate about the site. How do I know that he is passionate about, well for a start it’s very active with regards to posting and getting updated, so active that the background image has been changed at least 4 times since the brackets for the tourney were announced.
Furthermore OG which stands for Overlord G is not scared at all to share his opinions and interests with the rest of us, especially his interest in Yuri anime & manga, props to the man. Also I like that he tries to incorporate his “G” moniker as much as possible. The blog consists of episodic’s, editorial’s, manga reviews, anime reviews, game reviews, lists and much more.
Round 2: Nopy’s Blog
Our round 2 opponents is another single-manned blog by the name of Nopy’s Blog. Although not as overly active as the G-Empire, Nopy’s blog is very neat and organised with some nice articles.
Nopy mostly does editorial/opinion posts on anime as opposed to episodic’s as well as commenting on all sorts of anime merchandise which not most blogs do. On the blog he explains that the whole reason he started it was because of his fascination with aime figurines in the first place.
And probably best of all, Nopy follows most of the aniblogger community and gets involved in most of the community projects such as the ‘History of Anime’ initiative and the ’50 Questions’ posts that we have also done.
So if you’re keen to add some new blogs to list or just want to try something new you should give these guys a look. Thanks for supporting us and all the others in the tournament. May the odds be forever in our favour 😛

Have to say this tournament is nice for just finding some interesting blogs. Of course nothing wrong with winning either and glad you guys made it through the first round with relative ease.
Not as easy a first round for myself though, battling like crazy and almost dead even. In the end just have to leave it up to those voting.
