This time I’m going combine my 12 days of anime with my special Hetalia posts I plan to have started by this stage (I’m writing this on the 1st of December. If this is the first you’ve heard of this mini-project Hetalia fangirls then go ahead and berate me in the comments to get moving). This time I’m going to look at one of the most remarkable and one of the most unexpected occurences of the Hetalia anime (although in retrospect it should have been obvious). The international discussions that arise in Hetalia fandom.

12 moments in anime #8: Grave of the Fireflies *sniffle*

This year I went on a mini anime movie binge. It turned out I had barely seen any anime movies whatsoever and was in dire need of adding some more to that list. There were two that stood out amongst those I watched. The first was Akira, the anime I started this entire 12 days project with. The second? *sniff* Grave of the *sniffle* Fireflies.

Have you ever noticed how much effort I put into my season previews? Or the upcoming anime page I’m constantly updating with every new anime green-lite for production? I love to look forward to upcoming anime and try predict what will be the hit series of the future. In the 2+ years I’ve been doing this, no series has had as much obvious quality plastered all over it as Eden of the East had.

Hetalia Axis Powers episode 47

You know I was slightly worried before this episode that Hetalia had fallen into a bit of a rut recently, as can quite often happen with this show. When this episode kicked off with chibitalia I thought my fears had come true. But no!

When France is tossing about his fabulous (and now no longer strangely deformed chibi version) self we know that Hetalia has returned to form once again.

It’s a cliché phrase I know. But sometimes all you need is a picture, possibly toss in a caption for good measure. So this moment in anime is this awesome scene from Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood episode 19, the single greatest scene of the year.

Letter Bee episode 11

My brain has been going through overdrive with all these 12 days posts I’ve been writing. In fact I was getting worried that I wouldn’t be able to come up with much to write about in regards to this latest episode of Letter Bee. That thought crossed my mind briefly before I watched the episode but I kept to the belief that this episode of Letter Bee would be good enough for me to have enough to write about. Hmmm…
