A Look at Gaming: I’m on an E3 Podcast: Episode 0: Miyamoto is a Dick

So I know I’m on an unannounced hiatus at the moment (sorry about that) and this post isn’t at all anime-related, but this is something I’ve been excited about doing for an incredibly long time, so I feel I have to plug it.

Jormungand – 03

Oh God this post is late and I missed last week, sorry about that, I’ll just say that I really wish this show didn’t air on Tuesday. Oh and here are just my quick thoughts on episode 2 as penance. It was better than the first episode, there were some very stupid scenes but none of that held it back from being an incredibly fun episode.

Now that that’s out of the way, let’s talk about episode 3, shall we?

First Impressions – Jormungand

Black Lagoon is my favourite action show of all time, it’s wonderful blend of extremely well-directed hyper-violence, cynicism, great characters, and humour stemming from a heart of black served to create one of the most entertaining shows I’ve ever had the pleasure of watching. Lord of War is what I consider to be one of the most entertaining films of the last decade, for being an incredibly stylish, yet still human look at the world of arms dealership. You give me an anime that combines those two things the way Jormungand seems to be going, and I’ll go insane with joy.

First Impressions – Uchuu Kyodai

You don’t see this very often! A new season, and right off the bat we’re being thrown the good stuff? Well, I’m not complaining, Uchuu Kyodai (I can’t stand people calling it Space Bros, that name just rubs me the wrong way) has certainly set the bar high, if most of the season is this good, (though I seriously doubt it will b) I have high hopes for Spring.

50 Answers to Ace Railgun’s Questions – Gooney Edition

I'm a guy, but searching "anime teacher" just brought up pictures of porn, Please Teacher, and stuff like this. I couldn't use porn even if I wanted to, and I'll never promote Please Teacher

So yeah, I know that Blindability already answered these, but I figure everyone is so in love with everything I do because of how great I am that they want to know everything there is to know about me, so pay attention, class, I’m about to give you a lesson. Nah, that’s a lie (I have no idea what the public opinion of me is, and I’m really not a narcissist at all) I just thought it’d be fun to answer these questions as well, so here goes:

A Look At Gaming – Why March 23rd is a fantastic day for gaming

[Ugh, I’ve been gone far too long, I have a reason, which I’ll fully explain at the end of this post, but rest assured it was not just laziness. Anyway, on with the post]

2012 so far looks like a wonderful year for games doesn’t it? We’ve had the third game in the revered Mass Effect series, (even if I personally dislike it, it’s still notable) the first game directed by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi since FFV 20 (!) years ago, a return to form for Resident Evil, among other incredibly cool stuff I don’t want to mention here to avoid being long winded. So here I am presenting a look ahead into the very, very near future. The 23rd of March looks surprisingly awesome with a bunch of releases that I’m extremely excited for. (Hell, I wouldn’t write this if I wasn’t excited) So join as I take a look at the game releases of next week Friday, as stupid as that sounds.

A look at gaming – Review: Resident Evil: Revelations

Three Resident Evil games in one year? As a huge fan of the series, I’m ecstatic about it, however, I’ve had this nagging feeling in the back of my mind ever since RE6 was announced. I felt that maybe the series was spreading itself a bit thin, and that the quality of the games would suffer as a result. With that said, I’m very happy to announce that not only is Resident Evil: Revelations as good as I’d hoped, it’s also probably the greatest showcase for the 3DS thus far.

Another – episode 02

I’ve been putting off writing this for a few days now, because I think this episode was even slower than the last. The only thing that seemed to be of huge note plot-wise was Kouichi learning about the dead girl who just so happens to be called Misaki, and the living (?) Misaki taking off her eye patch in the very last seconds of the episode, and we didn’t even get to see what was under it, though it made a great hook for next week.
