Team Zero status update

“Come around me and sit down as you listen to this marvelous story, children…”

With my senior editor Blindability so graciously allowing me to put up this post, I shall take the opportunity to update on Team Zero’s behalf.  And before you say anything, of course I’m going to make myself look good. XD

Spring Anime 2010 Preview

My friends, this is the product of giving SPIRAL the duty to make this long post.  It’s not as good as Scamp’s, I know, but it took me a hell long of a time to make this too, but I’ll keep on fixing it.  You know the drill: the other writers and I have compiled a list of the anime of the Spring 2010 season and given you the summaries, the trailers (when they come out), and our thoughts on them.  Once again, the information comes from many different sources such as ANN, Chartfags, Metanorm, and my good friend, Google Images and Youtube.

Winter 2010 anime poll

So, how’s everyone enjoying the anime season so far?  Yeah, I know it’s not the best but a lot of fun things are out and it’s a worth to take a look.  However some of you who might just be jumping into a series right now might need to ask which anime entertains the most.  Well,  a japanese poll looked at what people thought of the best anime so far this season, and here are the results:

Top Ten Couples of 2009 (Official)

‘Tis the season of love, and it’s of no surprise that we get anime couples sprouting at this time of the anime.  Before I begin, let me tell you how this all works – officially, they have to be a couple or make any attempts at being.  That being said, Haruhi x Kyon would be a couple, whereas Junpei x Kanako or Junpei x Kaede would not be a couple, since the anime is ambiguous and leaving it to the second season for everything to resolve.  That also being said, there aren’t as many couples as there are characters in anime, since not all anime revolves around couples and love.  Regardless, here is your list of my top ten couples of 2009.

10th place – Kyon x Haruhi (Haruhi Suzumiya)

Yes, believe it or not the Endless Eight does relatively decent… never mind, it was annoying and frustrating.  Kyon x Haruhi was a couple that was well-known starting from 2006 and I think that the second season does a relatively decent job of bringing their relationship closer and closer, and although we didn’t get any kiss scenes, nor confession scenes, the future looks bright for these two.  Hopefully, Haruhi won’t attempt at destroying the world… again…. again.

Top Ten Male Characters of 2009

Remember, if you don’t like it, you’re in the same boat as me.  I’m a guy, so I had a friend compile this for this year.  You might be into personality, you might be into strength, or whatever you might be in.  I have no idea what to look for in a guy, because I’m not gay nor plan to be.  That being said, I do know ONE guy that’s not going to win anything – Toya from White Album, because he’s a prick that I will gladly beat the living crap out of him any day I want to.  By the way, I told my friend to exclude the long running ones aka Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto.  That being said, here we go:

10th place – Kunihito Kusanagi (Shangri-La!)

Major of the 10th Antiaircraft Artillery Corps who insistently hunts down the Metal-age. Brought up by an ordinary family, Kunihito is a cleaver fellow with an honest heart.  Good man, I understand how he could be ranked… although it seems as if he didn’t do much, he plays a lot of the behind-the-stage work.  Plus, it’s hinted that at the end of the series, it’s Kuniko x Kunihito.

Hatsune Miku Virtual Idol to Hold 1st Solo Concert

Not-So-Daily Link of the Day: Sega’s official website for Hatsune Miku, a virtual singer whose voice is created by a software engine, has announced on Thursday that she will hold her first solo concert on March 9. The date was chosen for the “Miku no Nichi Kanshasai 39’s Giving Day” project because “3/9″ can be pronounced in Japanese in the same way as the English word “thank.” More details will be announced on the website on December 17.

Hatsune Miku’s image was created by an artist named Kei, and her voice was provided by YAMAHA Corporation’s Vocaloid 2 engine using samples from voice actress Saki Fujita. The idol already performed “live” for the first time in August at the Animelo Summer Live 2009 Re:bridge concert. That concert used a screen installed at the back of the stage to project Hatsune several stories tall before a standing-room-only crowd of 25,000. She also performed in Singapore during the Anime Festival Asia 2009 event last month.
