Kimi no Iru Machi ch. 148… Lezzo’s attack!

Yo! During my hiatus I started watching some doramas out of pure boredom. Sure it might sound weird, but that’s just a reflection of how interested I am in the current anime shows. Other than laughing a while with BtTtS2 and screening my imagination with Usagi Drop, I can’t find anything that really pulls me away from my Wii-playing-couch (Damn Mario Sports Mix, it’s quite addictive!)… Ok, got out of the topic… Coming back to the doramas, what I wanted to illustrate was the Asian drama way. Being from Mexico, I’m used to watch some soap operas every now and then, specially those with a historic background, and have found out that the points that make them so popular is that they’re live fairy tales, where the poor cute girl finds her sissy-face prince and live forever happily after defeating countless obstacles, bringing down numerous opponents and convincing his mommy that the raggedy princess is actually worth his love.. (hold on, I’m about to puke.. *gulp*.. ok, let’s keep going).

Finally a Blockbuster Return in Anime

It’s official! Fall 2011 marks the return of the popular series, Hunter X Hunter. Apparently, a promotional campaign found on bookstores in Japan confirms that a new TV series has been green-lit for next season. (Source) HXH has had a 62 episode TV series, 3 OVA series totalling 30 episodes. There is no news that tells us if the new TV series will be a reboot or a direct continuation to the OVA. However, the latter seems to be most probable.

If the TV series is indeed a direct sequel, then, it should cover at least the first half of the Chimera Ant Arc. Insect haters beware. This Chimera Ant Arc arguably has the most disturbing and ugly moments in the series, but I’m sure you’ll be fine if you’ve read Franken Fran (lol).

I really wonder how long the TV series is going to last. It could go from 12 to 50 episodes. It wouldn’t surprise me if the anime is trying to do the entire arc. Let’s not forget that Shounen Jump confirmed that Yoshihiro Togashi will resume the manga in August. Maybe Togashi feels that he is healthy enough to finish the entire arc. Without a doubt, the anime length will certainly depend if he finish the job without going back to another hiatus. I wouldn’t be surprised if Togashi goes back to hiatus after one chapter.

Synopsis:
After becoming 12, Gon leaves his home and takes on the task of entering the Hunter exam, notorious for its low success rate and high probability of death to become an official Hunter. He befriends the revenge-driven Kurapica, the doctor-to-be Leorio and the rebellious ex-assassin Killua in the exam, with their friendship prevailing throughout the many trials and threats they come upon taking on the dangerous career of a Hunter. Now that the world didn’t end.. READ!

Hey there! I hope there are many survivors out there, otherwise, writing down this post for purposes other than keeping a personal diary would be meaningless…

While waiting for the world’s end (again…) I had nothing I would like to die watching, hence I started checking on my manga sites and found out some really good titles (well, not all of them, but some where highly recommendable…). So I thought to myself that if another apocalypse is about to happen soon (you know, every 2 or 3 months the world is about to end at one point or the other… ) these are some titles that you could read while your parents wall the doors, granny prays in unknown languages in front of a set of candles in a corner of the room and your neighbors run like headless chickens around your yard (for those that are laughing, this is not a joke, but an anecdote…).

So, hope you like these recomendations, and if you don’t, I’m always open to suggestions (and donations, of course..)

The Hungry Baneling

It’s a fun game too bad it isn’t what I am talking about.  What I AM going to talk about is anime and pretty much every single anime I consider worth watching for this season.  A picture of the Starcraft II UMS that I am talking about.  Really good game, the joy of Pokemon except better.  Think of it as a game where you play a mutated pikachu who rolls overs stuff to eat it and become bigger and bigger.  Then you eat more stuff… Then more… Then….

Air Gear predicts next US president

I’m not a manga reader, I have to admit that. Even then, I do read on certain occasion when the mood strikes. And of all the titles, Air Gear definitely won’t get my interest. But this time, it did. And it’s all because of this.
