Nyan Koi episode 6

Judging by the OP and ED I think we’ve finally been introduced to all of the main characters. And they’ve done that quite beautifully, if I may say so myself. In our last episode we were once again surprised by Junpei’s confrontational approach on Mizuno, and before scoring a nice kiss with her Kanoko went and jumped in the fun. Yet, before we said bye to episode 5 they decided to throw in a cute little twin-tailed loli, who BTW reminded me of Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari. I guess it was her spookiness, lol.

oh my....

OK, now as Scamp would say… “On to the episode at hand!”

Nyan Koi Episode 5

Maybe I’m pushing it too far, but this show is by far one of the funniest I’ve ever seen. Some people recommended me to watch FLCL some time ago, but I still haven’t finished watching it only because it didn’t exactly catch my attention. But Nyan Koi did. OK, maybe I’m a sucker for these non-original comedies with super funny and sexy characters, but I do prefer to watch something with a good story-line such as DTB. So just keep in mind that even though I have expectations for this show my standard for quality is still high. 🙂

October Roundup

There’s no way around a the fact that this season is just not very good. Thankfully we have plenty of anime still continuing on, and in the case of Cross Game and Umineko, two anime that are not only continuing on but also improving dramatically. The thing is, even with all these anime I’ve been dropping, I still haven’t had time to get back to Gintama. I watched the Jump Festa OVA, which is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s wondering if they should start watching Gintama, so I’ve really got to get back into it ASAP. I’m about 100 episodes behind at this stage.

A note about my ratings: The rating that’s given is a reflection of how that anime has performed this month alone. For example, while Hetalia is a better anime than  Umineko overall, this month of Umineko has been better than Hetalia.

Nyan Koi episode 3

Sorry I’m a bit late on this review. *sniffs* Can’t help it if I was just too busy with this extremely hard life I have as a celeb. (Extreme Sarcasm) Anyways, I have only one word to say for this episode… I knew they wouldn’t keep the one-sided love story for long! OK, maybe that wasn’t one word, but still. You have to admit, I was already starting to think that it was a bit strange for them to keep this love story so un-complicated. Get it? I mean, come on, since when was there only two people involved. Just take a look at Kampfer, you may think its only two people, but it’s actually three (His girl side, his boy side, and his crush which likes his girl side… yes I know, weird) So now in this episode we take a look at how it turns into, not a love triangle, but maybe a square… XD

Nyan Koi episode 2

As you wake up one morning you begin with your daily routine. Get up, make your bed, eat breakfast, go steal a shoe from a flesh eating dog for the sake of doing one hundred favors for cats so you won’t turn into one yourself. How about that for putting a little spice in your life? I know the plot of this anime isn’t exactly a ‘fresh new face’ but you got to admit that Junpei is just hilarious when he’s bickering with his friends.

Oh and the new character of today is… Kanoko Sumiyoshi. You know, that hot brunet chick from the first anime art pic? Lol

First Impressions: Kampfer, Sacred Blacksmith, Nyan Koi, Seitokai no Ichizon

Ah the good old first impressions posts. So often they turn out hopelessly wrong. In fact, I’ve found that my predictions during the season preview is actually a better indicator of the quality of the anime than the first episode. With that in mind, if you would like to make an argument for an anime I’ve given a D then by all means do so. Tell me how it got better and I’ll give it another shot. However please do not try to make me watch an anime that I’ve rated an E or an F. They were rated that lowly for a reason.

B = Very good, sometimes surprisingly so.

C = If you have the time, you should check this out

D = Not my kind of thing, I won’t be watching this

Oh My Goodness! Some girl, that we have no clue who she is, practically confessed to this boy who, by the way, we have no idea who he is either. She can’t take it anymore and throws herself on him, and asks the spiky haired boy if he dislikes her. Of course, like any boy would, he responds with a quick, “No, I don’t dislike you. I need to set my feelings strait too.” *whimper…Oh boy, seems like its about to get very intense. And its only in the beginning of the first episode!

But no. Unfortunately for our brave, black haired boy, this was all but a dream. Actually the funny part is that he was woken up by his pet cat, Nyamsus. Being tortured by the allergies that he has toward cats, he also discovers that he can now hear what the cat is saying! Yes, that is a “hear”, as in the thing that you do with you ear, in case you missed that. But anyways, by the girl in his dreams, we are introduced to our Main Character,  Junpei Kousaka.
