Ano Natsu de Matteru – Flurries of Love

So I’ve been watching Ano Natsu de Matteru this season and it’s been surprisingly good – considering it’s all teenage romance and drama. The story development has been pretty… slow, and the characters are of an okay calibre. I’m sure some people love this show like I love Chihayafuru, but I don’t really get it.

But I do admit it’s still good.

One of the best things this show has going for it is its multi-faceted “love triangle” – or perhaps we should call it a “love pentagon” – not because it’s particularly clever (it’s basically one girl likes one guy who likes another girl who likes another guy who likes another girl), but because it’s fairly realistic both in the way it’s set up and, more importantly, how it’s all played out.

(Before you hit the jump, be warned that I’m not explaining anything in this article; it’s not so much a review as it is a literary observation. If you need a brief of the romantic situation, see this article Sorrow-kun wrote; it’s super informative.)

Hotarubi no Mori e

I realized it was foolish of me to say that I was going to review every OVA and Movie that aired as some of them are really not worth the time watching, not to mention reviewing. Plus I’d read somewhere that Gyo was on the scary side, and I just don’t do scary.

Fortunately, Hotarubi no Mori e is not of the scary genre, and it is definitely worth the time to watch.

of Ko and Ohana

Since watching Episode 24 of Hanasaku Iroha, I’ve had one thought overriding everything else that’s going on in this series right now, and that is that Ohana doesn’t deserve Ko. But despite that belief, I still want to see them get together in the end.

First Impressions: Appleseed XIII

As is Bokutachi tradition, Its never too Late and that is clearly what Production I.G. had in mind when they were busy making this show as it was subjected to countless delays and setbacks. But finally it has made its way to screens and unfortunately, I have to say that I am quite underwhelmed.

Should I watch this?

Many times we come across a show or a movie that is completely epic, and it really moves us. Yet, there is always that anime that will completely leave us in awe, shock, and purely traumatized. No, I don’t mean it in a good way, I mean it in such a way that if someone tells you not to watch it for these reasons, it’s most likely a very wise idea to listen and not watch it.

Ladies and gentlemen that take part in the anime world, this post is just that, a warning. I have been so utterly traumatized that I have dedicated a whole post to warn people of this danger, the danger of this show called “School Days”.

“You may do as you wish.”

Senjougahara finally appears in the final episode. And boy did she end it in a Bang! Actually let me rephrase that to say she ends it in a Gasp and a Moan. lol

Any-who, Hitagi starts out by asking, *Cough excuse me, I mean demanding that Araragi go out on a date with her. Wow, gentle much? Well, thats what I love so much about her, Strait forward. OK maybe she is a little too much. So, willingly, Araragi accepts her offer only believing that his dream was about to come true.

As there in the car (accompanied by Hitagi’s father driving), Araragi is feeling extremely tense (hence the situation with the father) and a bit sad because he thinks that his dreams have sunk rock-bottom. Ignoring that, he strikes the question to Senjougahara, (no I’m not referring to her father), “Why is Kanbaru so Kinky?”. As she is surprised to know what he thinks about her, she explains that it’s probably only the way men think. BUT WAIT! Here comes the good part…
