Kaichou wa Maid-sama! episode twelve

Why.   Why.   Why do we keep watching this show?  (Other than for Misaki, of course).

As much as I would normally be excited for a sport festival episode, this one had no point since Misaki totally won everything… except for that pointless costume race at the end.  I don’t know when Misaki can expect her relationship to improve with Usui.  They should just seriously go out already, since they’re both really superhuman.  Misaki totally ruined the guy’s hopes of winning the festival and it was a disappointment seriously.  It got out of hand with Misaki winning every event she was in.

Every episode has some theme to Maid Latte but I thought this was one of the hotter ones.  And we know that you’re not supposed to wear anything under kimonos.  Heh heh damn keep working Misaki.   Watch these scene again, but with what I told you – you’re not supposed to wear any undergarments with kimonos.  I hope Maid Latte went for the authentic experience.

If I was participating in this festival, I would not participate in this event not to get kissed but rather I like obstacle courses.  The obstacles were pretty cool, but it’s pretty sad that how almost 80% of the guys couldn’t make it across a sloped wall.  All that takes is a good run, a good wall push, and arm strength to climb over.  The rope thing takes balance and physics to win – equal weighting on both sides of your body will make it so that you don’t fall.  Don’t believe me?  Look at tightrope walkers in circuses.  That’s how they do it.  The water thing?  Well, judging by the way they get across it, it must be pretty easy to cross without falling.  The volleyball court trap was weird too – so I guess the course really just needed a good runner with decent stamina.

This series needs more yuri action.  Then it would actually be pretty fun to watch.  Best screencap.

I would be pretty embarrassed if I had to wear this, but Yukimura needs to man himself up and just tell everyone that he got the costume so he might as well run with it.  Seriously, he could’ve won the race but he just needed to wait for Misaki and Usui to get changed.  I wonder what the prize would’ve been for this one.

This face summarizes Misaki’s feelings towards Usui, my frustration at the lack of direction in the series, and perhaps the surprise we will see next week for this series’ finale.

Are you sure it’s ending next week? From accidentally reading the wikipedia entry on the manga, I see there are a lot of characters not even yet introduced yet, so there’s still so much more material to cover.
