Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou episode twelve (final)

It was a disappointing end to a series, but what else can you do?

I dunno.  I was expecting a bigger bang to end the fight but I guess Sai Akuto going all super-power and trying to destroy the gods was enough… had they done that right.  Throughout the whole episode, I found myself going WTF rather than following along the plotline.  Not to mention that Soga Keena’s past relationship with Sai Akuto wasn’t answered, but it turns out that she has an ego.  A super ego that messes up memories and whatnot making it almost as if Sai Akuto couldn’t do anything in the end.

All well, Peterhausen sacrificed himself and left a nice part of his horn behind.  You will not be forgotten… *who?*

Check out those eyes and tell me that they’re not way too interested in Soga Keena’s body?  And speaking of which, she’s not much of a person to hide her nakedness, is she?  In short, Keena takes off her clothes way too much but I guess that can be blamed on the producers off this show since they’re the ones who decided to flow along with the “she can’t turn invisible with her clothes on” scheme.  Speaking of which, how does she manage to find the exact same clothes all the time?  Regardless, Peterhausen just can’t his eyes off her.  (Maybe that’s why the horn fell off).

This scene was really messed-up.  I thought that initially that these were two cute girls who were the guardians of the gods, or something cliche like that.  But it turns out that they’re just robots that spew a bunch of weird crap about the universe, the gods, and whatnot.  And if they’re robots, why are they bleeding?  Who was the genius that animated this scene and said, “You know what?  Let’s make the robots bleed so they can create a more dramatic effect.”  Regardless, this episode and series could’ve done without these two uselessly attempting to stop blonde-hair bad-guy and getting sliced midrift.

I’ll probably get in trouble for putting this picture up, but this picture shows the epic-ness of Korone in one shot, and although she doesn’t have a role in this episode nor for the last few episodes, she is still the best character of the show.  I wonder if she actually shows feelings towards Sai Akuto since she’s supposed to be an android-type thing after all.   Regardless, this is one shot that they did not censor like they normally do with pantsu.   Enjoy.

Laser beams!!!!!!  Wow, I never thought that at any point of this series, we would be forced to have someone shoot laser beams out of their eyes.  It was pretty cool… not.  Why on earth would you have Sai Akuto shooting beams from his eyes?  Why not have his hands turn blue again and shot beams from that?  Or why not grow the purple wings he grows in the opening sequence?  And are those beams actually coming from his eyes to defeat those mechanical defense mechanisms placed by the gods?  Apparently, the “gods” haven’t seen a decent future space movie where EVERYTHING shoots things from their eyes.  Seriously.

Let me tell you why out of these three girls, Hattori is the best.  First of all, Soga Keena is an air-headed girl and she clearly doesn’t care whether or not she’s naked in front of others or not.  If my girl stripped in front of everyone else, I wouldn’t hesitate to smack her upside the head and take away her rice.  She’s seriously addicted to that stuff because she drugged it, simple as that.  Secondly, the idol girl is a bad choice because 1) she’s with the Braver guy and 2) she’s really annoying.  Yes, she may be an idol but that’s unwanted celebrity fame right there.  And plus, being a Demon Lord is already bad enough.  Come on, Sai Akuto, marry Hattori Junko.

I wish I paid more attention to when they were explaining the monster blood inside her.  Or maybe I wish they explained it a bit more about her past.  Regardless, why’d it have to disappear?

Did they ever really explain who this chick was?

Final Impressions: 6.5 / 10.0

I mean, it wasn’t great especially after the hype built up towards the end of the series.  After a few “blegh” episodes in the middle with really weird characters, I would have to say that although it was enjoyable, it wasn’t really that great.  Plus, look at that artwork fail in the last screencap.

maybe. I was about to make that horn to a “horny” reference but then I realized it might’ve been a tooth.

Not a bad series, last episode was a bit of a let down but! I kind of knew it would have a bad ending..but seems it just restarts at the end even when Sai tries to change jobs he gets pulled back in as the Demon lord. Hattori was one of my favorites as well as Keena lol…that crazy rice addict, I noticed the dragon stare at Keena too lmao hes like Whoa…..

Don’t think they will get another series but who knows…maybe I kind of hope not.

The ending actually confused me even more than when all the mystery were being introduced. I know that they TRIED to answer the questions of the show, but it was just a bunch of rambling that I didn’t get.

It seriously confused me too, but I cant find anywhere a straight answer. They were saying that he would inherit the god’s powers etc, so why didn’t he? What purpose did Peterhausen’s death serve other than destroying the god? etc etc. I was so lost.

  4. 6 it was a good show if you understood it all

They’re androids, thats why they’re bleeding.
The blond chick is another one of keena’s past lives as the law of identity; its like the main personality that recalls everything thats happened through all her lives, and the personality of the one currently living. The blond one was her past life the orangey peach haired one was the main personality and keena is the one currently living.
It was one of Peterhausen’s teeth.
If you look, Peterhausen is looking at her face, not her body.
The fact that she cant turn invisible with her clothes on actually makes sense, seeing as magic would only effect the body, not whats on the body, same logic as why transforming back into a human from a beast, the clothes wouldn’t suddenly reappear.
Juunko’s sister was bit by a monster when she was young and some of it’s mana mixed with hers and created that weird parasite attatched to her. The gods can control the mana flow within a person and because it was the monster’s mana, it was destroyed along with the gods.
If you could understand the whole series then the ending was actually pretty good as it tied up loose ends and explained the aftermath fairly well. I thought it was a good series compared to some of the other garbage they’re coming out with lately. Though the lazer beams were definitely unnecessary
