Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu episode 10 – 11

Yes, this post will be combining episode 10 and 11 because I couldn’t find the time to watch either on the TV so I had to browse the internet for some streaming sites.  Anyways, let’s take a look shall we?

Episode 10

Episode 10 was slightly more boring – it jumps from Himeji’s love letter to Yoshii’s calorie intake to Yuuji’s marriage contract to a random cheating antagonist who wants to get the highest scores by cheating.  The ending was a bit melodramatic with the breaking in of the vault and the antagonist failing to get the right test.  The last scene was priceless with Himeji’s cooking – but other than that, a slightly more disappointing episode.  Arguably, the only funny scene for me was the calorie intake one (see below):

“A good sister always takes care of her little bro.”

“A normal person takes around 2500 calories a day.”

“This calorie drink is 200 calories.”

“That’s a lot of disgusting drinks!”

“Don’t worry, we have different flavors!”

Thoughts

Unlike Ladies versus Butlers, Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu becomes more and more progressively irritating to watch.  Don’t get me wrong – the humor is still great, the scenes are still funny, and everything is generally fun to watch, but the lack of a storyline seems to bug me.  Maybe I should stop looking for it, and then perhaps I’ll enjoy it a bit more… hopefully, the next episode….

Episode 11

What did I say?  I knew that Yuuji had to be some kind of genius, and that’s what basically wins them Class D… and Class B.  And with a whole episode of intense battling and random circumstances, we see the finale setting up from Class F vs. Class A.  First decent episode with an action-filled plot in a while.

Thoughts

This is the BakaTest episode I was waiting for.  I wanted to see all the different strategies in play and the constant amusing action that we don’t know what to expect.  And with only class A left, Shouko’s going to give it her all to prove that class A is the best for a reason.  OMG this episode made Sora no Woto’s episode 11 a bit dull.

Class F

Class A

The antagonist didn’t get the wrong test, he definitely had the right one. Yoshii and Yuuji just made it so that everyone else had the right one, which invalidates all of them. I think it was a pretty gutsy move on their part to commit that much to their plan.

Episode 11 was awesome, but I found myself wishing they had cut it in half. One of the earlier episodes could have easily been kicked to the curb to allow for it. It was action packed, but it was largely because they had to move so quickly through it. :/

did I write that…? *checks* oh yeah I did. well, what do you expect from Akihisa and Yuuji? IRON MAN looked pretty pissed at them but they still saved the day. well, about episode 11, maybe they could’ve taken out episode 10 and made Class F vs. Class D episode 10, class F vs. Class B episode 11, and the final episode would be class F against class A. can’t wait to see how that turns out.

Yay! A 2-D battle system! Ah my Fire Emblem fanboy is just squealing with joy. Not just squealing. Squealing like a pig.

Hands down, best scene was the scythe wielding dudes kamikaze bombing class B. So far, that is probably the the funniest scene I’ve seen from the winter season.
At this point, Baka’s story has been kinda put on the “IDC” list.

HAHAHAHA that scene was utterly one of the best battle and funniest scenes ever. The FFF members are badass XD

Lol. Yeah; jealousy is a great motivator. It was even better watching the teacher drag the pile of em off to detention.
