Seitokai Yakuindomo episode eight

It gets harder and harder to write simple introductions to this show.

If you haven’t realized now, this show entirely runs about sex jokes.  This week in particular was a bit harsh on the lack of these jokes.  Perhaps the biggest one was Shino’s idea that boys continuously masturbate to even out their physical advantage over girls.  And that wasn’t even that unique nor good.  Perhaps then we can look to Suzu, who seemed to have that running joke that takes place at her house.  She’s either got a really hot sister or her mom got a total makeover – regardless, that was a weird bath joke, but I guess being small does help you save the water bill.

Meeting a new character of the moral officer was a little welcome amongst a cast of already funny characters – the phobia of men was a bit odd especially amongst a crew of characters that love cracking semen and sex jokes.  Hata was the center of the spread, so I guess the fun stuff always revolves around here.  Shino also did pretty good with the whole martial arts thing, but I guess it’s because she can imagine taking down other people… in bed.

Sadly enough, that’s how the series would go.  No surprise that there will be any direction to the final episodes of this show, but hopefully something will come up that makes the student council actually a useful group of people that knows what they’re doing.  Episode nine’s already out, so maybe I’ll have to blog that tomorrow – but hopefully I’ll have more thoughts by then.
